It was so clean and bright inside! It made me feel happy even though it was rainy outside and a bit gloomy. Loved the attached restaurant with the amazing pizza! I walked just 13 minutes to get to downtown Manteo and that was a lovely walk. Close to sights like the aquarium and Festival Park. Staff was super helpful too!

Staff at desk were wonderful. The property is undergoing renovation and is obviously a work in progress. The room was comfortable, attractive, updated, ecologically sensitive, but did not have some of the amenities we have come to expect, like shower caps, hand and body lotion, etc.

I selected this hotel based on the photos and descriptions provided on the Expedia site. Once I checked in and gained admittance to the suite, I discovered it was shabby, broken furniture and dirty. I went back to the desk and said given the condition of the suite, I didn’t want to stay and asked for a refund. Desk person told me OK they would cancel and refund my money. A day later I saw the charge and received an email from the hotel telling me they would not refund my money. Expedia shouldn’t publish fake info! Beware of this hotel.

The rooms were basic, which was fine for a crew of guys but basic things lacked like the toilets did not flush in one of the two rooms booked. The coffee pot didn’t work. The doors to the rooms also didn’t shut properly without force and if it was not locked from the inside they could be easily pushed opened.
