Located 5 hours from Vancouver and Calgary, and 25 minutes from both Salmon Arm and Enderby.
Wild Rose Cabin is an off-grid glamping cabin nestled in the Larch Hills near Salmon Arm, BC. Designed for those looking to unplug and reconnect with nature, the cabin does not have electricity or running water. Instead, it is equipped with modern propane appliances, and we provide clean drinking water and washing water for your stay.
Wild Rose is a favourite among couples and is one of our most romantic cabins. The cozy log cabin features a king-size bed in the loft and a double futon in the downstairs living area, comfortably sleeping up to four guests. All linens, fluffy duvets, and pillows are provided.
The kitchen includes a modern propane stove and oven, along with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, a French press coffee maker, and everything you need to prepare simple meals. Guests should bring all groceries, coffee, cooking oil, and personal food items needed for their stay. Salt and pepper is provided.
Outside on the screened-in porch you'll find a propane barbecue, with propane included. There is also a small propane fridge and freezer located in the screened in porch and during the winter months, when temperatures are cold enough, we provide coolers for storing groceries.
The cabin is heated with a wood-burning fireplace, and firewood is included. If you are unfamiliar with lighting or maintaining a wood fire, we recommend reading the fireplace instructions before your stay.
For an additional $30 per stay, you can enjoy your own private wood-fired sauna. The fee includes firewood and cozy robes. Please note that the sauna may not be available during periods of extreme fire danger or fire restrictions.
Wild Rose also has a simple rustic camp-style shower. You'll fill the shower bag with water at your preferred temperature, hang it up, and enjoy a warm outdoor shower.
The outhouse is located just a few steps from the cabin and is stocked with toilet paper. We recommend bringing a headlamp for those late-night trips outside.
Outside the cabin is large fire pit, and 14 km of private maintained and signed walking trails. We recommend downloading the free avenza app and uploading our geo-referenced trail map so that you can see where you are on out trail system without service. Firewood for campfire can be purchased for $20 per bundle, you are welcome to bring your own firewood.
We welcome well-behaved dogs for a $25 per pet, per stay fee. Please note that there may be other pets on the property, so we recommend bringing friendly, well-socialized pets that are comfortable around other animals.
There are three other cabins on the retreat, but each is spaced 5–10 minutes apart by foot, offering guests a sense of privacy while still being part of our nature retreat.
Please note that the final 11 km to the property is along a well-maintained gravel and forest service road, adding to the cabin's peaceful, off-the-beaten-path setting. 4wd is recommended during the winter months.
