This property is marketed as a beach resort, but the “beach” is a very small, artificial sandy patch (see photo). The pools are equally underwhelming and feel more like small community pools than resort amenities. The website’s description of a beachfront verandah is misleading. There is no real beachfront experience here — just a bit of sand with no usable beach. Food on property was mediocre at best, and we were very glad we did not purchase the all-inclusive package. That turned out to be our best decision. Service was disappointing overall. Front desk staff were generally unfriendly and dismissive; Cynthia was the only staff member who was willing to listen, which we appreciated. Housekeeping was poor. Rooms were not properly cleaned, beds were not made, and towels were removed without being replaced. This was the first time on a so-called luxury resort vacation that we couldn’t wait to leave. The experience did not match what was advertised, especially for the price. We will not be returning.

The property is gorgeous. But so big it is definitely not that quaint keys vibe.. feels more like a big cruise ship or apartment complex. Everything is an up charge, and they don’t tell you about the jet ski rentals orboat trips. Bed was not comfortable. But the room was fabulous, especially the 2 bathrooms. I was charged a lot more upon checkout than Expedia listed on our invoice.

We had planned only a 1 nigh visit to Isla Bella on our way to Key West. We so much enjoyed our visit with you that we shortened our stay in Key West and returned to Isla Bella for our final 2 nights in the Keys. Wonderful resort and staff, excellent service and beautiful location. Thanks.

Beautiful place clean and well situated but the food was very mediocre. The staff fair to good. Not well trained. We realized we should go out for meals except breakfast as long as you get to the restaurant by 10:30. Food and drinks way overpriced. The exception was Kyle who manages the bar was special. I hope he has a cha ce to reform the food and more

The amenities were great. I loved the layout of the resort with plenty of open seating options. There was no overcrowding, which made our stay quiet and relaxing. The only negative is the food is very expensive for the quality.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Isla Bella, and could not have been more pleased. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds were perfectly maintained, offering beautiful ocean views. Dining at Mahina during sunset is an unforgettable moment, and highly recommended. Wait staff were attentive at every restaurant on the grounds, and we never felt rushed or unimportant. Other patrons of the resort were quiet and respectful, unlike some other locations you may often encounter in the Keys. This is not a party atmosphere, but rather a place to enjoy peace, quiet and perfect scenery. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and was serviced every day making it feel like new each time we opened the door. Key West is a fun place to visit, but if you want to relax in luxury and avoid the crowds, plan a trip to Marathon, Isla Bella will not disappoint.

Always good choice for a get away! Perfect location, amenities and sunset spot. room are spacious and clean. I’ve been with my friends and we had a question about food and the executive chef which his name is Thomas. he take care of us and we really appreciated it! Also, the stuff is great. I would definitely recommend.
