Ocean Dream.... a bright beautiful upscale home with fantastic ocean views over Florida Bay. Watch sunsets and sunrises from either balcony and the new observation platform extending 60 feet over open water. Experience nature at its finest from your 140 foot ocean frontage estate or go further afield on the included kayaks and SUPs. Beautiful gardens, outdoor living area, new pool and spa*, ping pong and bocce, all included in your week of paradise.

As you drive up to the house, mature coconut palms and tropical gardens welcome you. Peek past the gated entertainment area under the house to the pool and ocean. Tropical foliage provides privacy from the road and neighbors. Step upstairs through the main entrance to take your breath away!

The great room with kitchen, dining and living room offers magnificent ocean viewing on the gulf side of Vaca Key and the Atlantic.

The great room is a wonderful place to cook, dine and entertain without ever forgetting why you are here. Enjoy the well-equipped kitchen good for all your gourmet cooking and baking needs. There are even a large turkey roaster and lobster pot. Coffeeholics will appreciate the 14 cup drip coffee maker, Keurig machine and coffee grinder. The Ninja blender is great for frozen drinks, smoothies and cocktails. There are many other small appliances listed later.

It’s special to dine in this location and it’s even more special on the quality white porcelain dishes, and beautiful crystal wine glasses while seated around the unique glass topped one piece, hand carved acacia dolphin dining table. For less formal times, enjoy the colorful sea-themed melamine dishes on the balcony or overlooking the pool. All three dining areas provide seating for 8.

In deference to the unbeatable wide ocean view, the décor and color scheme is minimalist. Relax on the soft, white top-grain leather sofas, and play a few board games. Lean back on the adjustable seating to chill out, or watch a show on the 65 inch Roku TV. Or make use of a separate glass table for card games or jigsaw puzzles. You can’t get away from the view!

This 2600 square foot home has 4 bedrooms each with king sized beds and 4 full bathrooms with walk- in showers. The 14 inch thick mattresses are very comfortable. All beds are dressed with multiple white textured bedding and have cool 100% long staple cotton sateen sheets. Two bedrooms have 8 foot sliding glass doors to the main balcony. One bedroom with a private full bath overlooks the front garden. The Captains Loft with ensuite full bath on the upper level of the house has a superior view and private balcony. Please note, that although the loft is private, it is open to the main part of the
house and sounds travel. Take a nightcap under the stars or fall asleep and wake to the glorious view.
This home suits everyone. It’s great for families (there is a high chair and travel sized crib), a reunion with friends, a place to relax or a place to indulge in more athletic activities. It can be a base to explore farther afield such as Key West or many of the local attractions or a place to bird-watch and observe nature.

Ocean Dream is the place to be! Whether you enjoy a coffee on the high table on the balcony off the captain’s loft to relish sunrise over the Atlantic, enjoy all the activities the ocean offers or bask in the warm afterglow of a spectacular sunset in the pool, Ocean Dream is a fabulous vacation!


Some of our favourite waterside activities are:
1. Exploring the diverse shoreline on a stand-up board keeping a sharp lookout for nurse sharks, rays, turtles and fish.
2. Snorkeling is a popular activity directly offshore of this house where many tour companies take their clients for a swim in the sheltered waters.
3. Bird watching. You'll see pelicans, osprey, kingfisher, majestic white egrets, turkey vultures, and wide winged frigates to name a few. If you're lucky, our pair of bald eagles will stop by, or the rare reddish egret will dance at low tide.
4. Sun tanning poolside.
5. Challenging each other to a game of ping pong or corn hole toss.
6. Chilling under the stars with a glass of wine while listening to the gentle waves lap along the rip rap.
7. Waking to a glorious sunrise with a steaming cup of coffee.

1. Aquarium Encounters. Show up early.
2. Fishing charters.
3. Snorkelling. Take the provided kayaks, or join a tour group to the reef.
4. Walk the 7 Mile Bridge.
5. Check out Sombrero Beach or Coco Plum Beach.
6. Visit Crane Hammock and get a pedicure from the fish.
7. Dolphin Research Center.
8. The Turtle Hospital.

Farther afield:
1. Day trip to Key West along the picturesque Overseas Highway.
2. Visit one of the many State Parks in the Keys, such as Curry Hammock State Park in Marathon, John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Largo, or Bahia Honda State Park .


Other Useful information:
1. There are many great restaurants within a few miles. We enjoy The Island Fish Company, Frank’s Grill, Burdines Waterfront and Keys Fishery. Our favorite for birthdays and anniversaries is Hideaway Cafe on Grassy Key (reservations required).
2. Publix, Winn Dixie and Walgreens are about 2 miles West on Overseas Highway,
3. Pool and Spa Heat is an option at $32.00/day. You must ask for it separately either before or during your stay. Pool heat is set to 88 degrees and the spa to 102.
4. Pool service happens every Saturday between guests. Please understand that when you are on direct ocean frontage, at windy times, some leaf or sand may enter the pool. We provide a leaf basket if that happens.
