We had a lovely stay at Palace Africa. I visited for 7 days with my two sons 9 and 7. It was well kept, clean and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The setting is simply stunning, showcasing Moroccan architecture and and the pool was a delight to swim in. The kids spent hours in it! The grounds are beautiful, I enjoyed walking around it in the morning. The rooms are very nice and modern and kept clean. There is a local Saturday market just across the road which is worth a visit. we got some delicious fruits and nuts. We would definitely visit again.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable au Palace Africa. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent : pour un tarif abordable, on bénéficie d’un confort et de services de qualité, ce qui est rare près de Marrakech. L’hôtel est un peu éloigné de la ville (20-30 min en voiture), mais c’était volontaire pour profiter du calme ; l’accès reste simple via taxi ou navette. Le cadre est vraiment magnifique, un petit édén avec une décoration soignée et raffinée, et des chambres typées offrant un vrai dépaysement. L’hôtel est situé dans un quartier périphérique tranquille, loin de l’agitation du centre-ville. Un immense merci au directeur Rachid, toujours attentif et aux petits soins, qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable par sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et varié, avec options sucrées et salées, fruits frais, jus et omelettes traditionnelles. Aucun problème avec la sécurité : nous avons laissé des objets de valeur dans la chambre sans souci. La taxe de séjour (40 DH/nuit/personne) est à régler sur place ; elle est parfois mal indiquée par les opérateurs, donc il vaut mieux vérifier lors de la réservation pour éviter les mauvaises surprises. Un excellent choix pour un séjour authentique, reposant et enchanteur, je recommande vivement !

Nous avions réservé une formule pension complète, mais l’eau n’est pas comprise (2,50 € la bouteille). Le service est très décevant : au début il y avait des croissants, puis plus rien. Quand j’ai demandé, on m’a répondu que c’était « trop loin ». Même chose pour les samoussas : commandés au fromage, servis à la viande, avec la même excuse. Le ménage est fait très tard (vers 17 h) et parfois pas du tout. L’hôtel compte une trentaine de chats en liberté : ils montent sur les transats et tournent autour des tables pendant les repas, impossible d’être tranquilles. Les excursions proposées par l’hôtel sont hors de prix : 80 € contre 20 € via Expedia. Lors du départ, nos bijoux avaient disparu ; après avoir signalé le problème, une femme de ménage nous les a finalement rapportés. Attention aux vols. Enfin, la taxe de séjour était quatre fois plus élevée que le montant annoncé. Quand nous avons demandé des explications, la gérante s’est mise à crier et nous a menacés d’appeler la police, devant nos enfants. Séjour très décevant.

Palace Africa est au calme ce qui est agréable comme le cadre extérieur. La climatisation est appréciable. Nous avions pris les petits déjeuners compris, alors peu de choses et il faut quémander pour avoir tels ou tels choses mais toujours la même chose. A savoir sur place : taxe de séjour 41 dhs par jour et par personne de plus de 10 ans. Le logement est excentré donc des coûts non négligeables en plus. Pour la place jemaa el fna l'hôtel propose de contacter un taxi pour un coût de 300 dhs, ne prenez pas avec l'hôtel au rond point il y a des taxis et vous pouvez y aller pour 150 dhs. Pour les excursions idem ne passez pas par l'hôtel c'est démesuré, en passant par Expedia j'ai payé 3 fois moins. Pour ce qui est des repas sur place, les prix sont très élevés et ça ne reflète pas à mon goût les saveurs pures du Maroc et les portions petites. Rachid est très sympathique et vient discuter avec les vacanciers. Pour les personnes allergiques aux chats, l'endroit n'est pas pour vous il y a beaucoup de chats adorables et vous mangez avec eux car ils s'agglutinent espérant récupérer de la nourriture même s'ils ne font pas peine à voir comme ils sont dodus. Donc mon avis : J'ai trouvé cela très cher et loin de la médina mais le calme est appréciable après une journée au souk.

Avis très mitigé

Après avoir réservé sur la base des avis sur l établissement Dar Ilham, je me suis rendu compte que l établissement avait changé de propriétaire sans en avoir été prévenu ni par l établissement ni par hotels.com Le cadre, le jardin, la piscine très jolis La table de ping pong aussi utile pour occuper les enfants Hôtel situé à une vingtaine de minute de la médina donc voiture ou taxi impératif Bien que de bonne volonté, le personnel était jeune et peu expérimenté, cela s est traduit par des attentes très longues lors des dîners, des petits déjeuners ouverts à 8h mais réellement prêts vers 9h. Les chambres sont assez mal isolées et nous entendions le retour tardifs des voisins Malgré le fait d avoir fait part de notre déception aux nouveaux propriétaires, qui s en sont certes excusé, aucun geste commercial effectué. Je pense que l hôtel aurait dû accepter les réservations à partir du moment ou le staff était formé et prêt. Pas des la reprise. Nous avons eu l impression de payer le prix normal avec un niveau de service attendu qui n était vraiment pas au rendez vous
