Great riad with very helpful staff

This riad is located in a small alleyway where you do have to walk for about 6 minutes before getting into the main road where you can hail a taxi to wherever you want to go. It is a good location however as it is close to many of the landmarks in Marrakech. Each room in the riad is different and they were kind enough to let us in to choose which one we would like. The rooms are very clean and the riad is very well run. The staff are very helpful and were always on hand for anything we wanted or needed. It is reasonably priced and I would recommend to others.

Very centrally located. Well-priced. Riad is located down a series of alleys in the medina, staff very helpful in orienting you to what otherwise could be a confusing location. Very clean inside with a quiet elegance. Nice rooftop sitting area with small soaking pool. Excellent, friendly service. Manager Rahal and his family very nice. Very helpful in arranging day trips and taxi pickup and delivery and hamman massage. Do be clear, however, about such extra collateral services as fees for shuttle to/from airport (15 euros), additional tax per person per night (2.5 euros), and water or tea not clearly provided as hospitality or courtesy and for which you may be charged. You are not being ripped off or extorted, but there has been some confusion around these charges as others have reported. Anticipate them, and everything will go smoothly. The better practice for both guests and management is to specify clearly at the outset what is being provided. You are spending hundreds of dollars/euros to get to Marrakech in the first place, a few extra unexpected dollars/euros should not cause a problem. Generally, you will be welcomed in Riad Chams as if you are family. Enjoy the experience.

Wonderful stay at Riad Chams. Everyone went beyond expectations to make it feel like a true home, and the staff were always willing to help with any and all concerns and questions. This Riad definitely made my visit to Marrakech a memorable one!

Nice Wonderful Hotel

From the moment we walked in we was greeted with smiles and a cup of tea, very nice and quiet place, breakfast is served at certain times, and on a few occasion i was late waking up but they still accommodated me. They advised me on excursions which we did, if you get a chance do the Ourika Valley and Essaouira, i was only rthere for 4 days and i will be back to do more.

Best Riad EVER!

Appena arrivati ci siamo sentiti subito a casa! Consigliamo di accettare il servizio transfer offerto dal Riad, comodissimo: dall'aeroporto ad un parcheggio appena prima della via del Riad, dove troverete uno dei gestori ad aspettarvi per accompagnarvi dalla strada principale al Riad (che si trova in una via non percorribile con il van, ma dopo la prima volta risulta facile da raggiungere e non c'è ragione di aver paura). Il parcheggio in cui verrete lasciati il primo giorno vi servirà come punto di partenza per l'esplorazione dei luoghi più belli di Marrakech (tutti raggiungibili a piedi, in max 30 minuti). Un'oasi di pace nel cuore della medina, personale fantastico e... colazione abbondante, un buon compromesso tra tradizione marocchina e continentale. Può essere gustata nella terrazza, nel cortile interno o se fa freddo in una sala riscaldata, ma sempre in perfetto stile marocchino. Camere grandi e molto pulite. Approfittate di un pranzo o una cena servita al Riad per conoscere meglio i ragazzi che ci lavorano, tutti parlano inglese e sono persone meravigliose! Guardate l'alba o le stelle dalla terrazza più alta... la vista è mozzafiato e potreste fare amicizia con Ali o Ayoub ;)

Het personeel is super vriendelijk. Ze houden alles in de gaten (ook of iedereen aan het einde van de dag weer binnen is) en bieden verschillende services aan. Wij hebben vanuit de accomodatie een quat tour gedaan en hammam waarbij alles top geregeld was. Elke ochtend kregen we een ander ontbijt en ook deze was heerlijk. Het enige minpunt was dat het bed erg hard was.

Nettes Riad mit familiärer Atmosphäre

Das Riad ist sehr klein aber persönlich. Es ist ca. 15 Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt und gar nicht leicht zu finden. Zwei junge Männer kümmern sich um den Service, der wirklich toll ist. Man wird sehr herzlich empfangen und gleich mit einem Minztee begrüßt. Sie geben auch tolle Tipps was und wo man was unternehmen kannt. Sie organisieren auch alles. Die Zimmer sind unterschiedlich groß, wr bekamen ein Upgrade und das Zimmer war sehr hübsch und ausreichend groß. Den letzten Abend verbrachten wir in einem kleineren Zimmer, das sehr klein war aber für eine Nacht war es in Ordnung. Sauberkeit war ok aber man darf nicht genau hinschauen. Das Frühstück wird mit sehr viel LIebe gemacht, es ist zwar sehr klein aber man bekommt jeden Tag etwas anderes. Es besteht meistens aus Süßem (Pancakes, Kuchen, Nutellapalatschinken). Mir hat noch etwas Salziges gefehlt aber das ist der persönliche Geschmack. Für Leute die nicht so viele Ansprüche haben, günstig, nett und nicht so weit entfernt von den Sehenswürdigkeiten wohnen wollen würde ich es absolut empfehlen. Ich würde es gut finden, wenn die Gäste im Riad von den "Guides" zu der Tannery (=Gerberei) gewarnt werden, denn es ist wirklich ein Problem. Vor der Koranschule werden die Turisten "zufällig" angesprochen und zu der Gerberei gebracht. Danach verlangen sie sehr viel Geld für ihren "Zwangsservice".

Es un riad muy bonito y centrico

Para realmente conocer la cultura marroquí debes ospedarte en un riad, este en concreto esta muy bien, lo tienen muy limpio y muy cerca de los zocos y de la plaza, el personal del hotel un 10, súper atentos en todo lo que necesitábamos, te explican y te cuentan todo lo que puedes hacer, repetiré.
