Bank Haus - USA Today Travel - Hot Tub, Fenced Yard

Built c. 1902 (or late 1800s, we aren't quite sure!), and containing 2 original walk-in vaults, the Bank Haus has been renovated to nearly its former glory.

Tin ceilings, hardwood floors, and a brand new oversized main level handicapped accessible master bathroom are only a few of the stunning features of the Bank Haus.

Bring your friends for a wine country getaway, ride the Katy Trail, or celebrate a wedding at one of the nearby wedding venues. Lake Creek Winery and Boone Monument Village are only 2 miles away.

Located on the Katy Trail in Marthasville, Missouri, the Bank Haus is in Missouri wine country and less than an hour from St. Louis.

Bike rentals are nearby, the best pizza in the county is steps from the door, and wineries are a short bike ride down the Katy Trail (or a 2 minute drive down the road).

THE SPACE

The Bank Haus is 2 levels with the main level being handicapped accessible. It sleeps a total of 10 people and has 4 bedrooms, 2-1/2 bathrooms, and an open living, dining, and kitchen area, as well as a washer/dryer in a vault.

The Bank Haus is dog friendly for pre-approved dogs only.

For large groups, reserve both the Katy Haus and Bank Haus as they are next door to one another.

MAIN LEVEL

The living area on the main level is an open floor plan showcasing the tin ceilings and hardwood floors.

The great room has a luxury king size sleeper sofa and a pair of velvet green chairs. The dining area boasts an 8 foot antique dining table possibly from the United States Post Office.

The full kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals, including place settings, pots and pans, wine glasses, and both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker.

The main level bedroom has a stunning elegant king size bed with crisp white linens from The Distinguished Guest.

The full bathroom is handicapped accessible with grab bars, a shower seat, and a low profile shower.

The smaller vault is now a beauty bar, complete with mirrors and plenty of outlets for curling irons and blow dryers for getting ready for a wedding or a day at the local wineries.

The main level also has a small half bathroom with a working antique toilet and sink.

SECOND LEVEL

Up a flight of over 100 year old steep stairs, the 3 bedrooms each have exposed brick walls, natural light, and king size beds.

The front bedroom also amazing light, and the back bedroom has a bathroom with a shower.

Note: there are only showers and no tubs in the Bank Haus.

OUTDOOR SPACE

Our backyard is completely fenced with a privacy fence and includes a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, twinkle lights and a private hot tub.

We also have a shed for your bikes if you'd like to store them there (shared with the Katy Haus next door).

WINERIES

Lake Creek Winery is only 2 miles down the road. Blumenhoff Winery in Dutzow is 6 miles by bike, and Augusta Brew Haus is 13 miles by bike.

WEDDINGS

Are you attending a wedding nearby at Boone Monument Village (2 minutes), Lake Creek Winery (2 minutes), or in the nearby town of Washington (8 minutes)? We are happy to host you!

🐶 Pre-approved dogs only, dog rate is $25 per night per dog plus taxes.

- If competing at Purina Farms, please inquire about the Purina Farms dog rate
- The dog rate applies to ALL dogs on property, even those you choose not to bring inside the home

💳 Credit card must be on file in case of damages. We will send you an email to authorize a $1 hold after your booking is confirmed. This hold begins 3 days before your arrival and is released 3 days after departure if there is no damage, no excessive cleaning needed, and no house rules are broken.

🚗 Drivers license will be required with our signed guest agreement after you book, along with a selfie holding your photo ID

🆔 We will perform a Guest ID verification securely through our payment processor after you book. The main purpose is to make sure no one has stolen your credit card and used it without your permission.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

You can purchase travel insurance for your reservation! The standard policy covers quite a few reasons for cancellation and applies to your whole traveling group.

Note that all new reservations have the option of purchasing a Cancel For Any Reason insurance policy besides the standard travel insurance policy. You can purchase this when you make your reservation with us, and the insurance is automatically connected to your stay.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel before 30 days of arrival, you receive a full refund of your deposit, less a cancellation fee. If you cancel within 30 days of arrival, there is no refund.
