Nice accommodations however daily room cleaning was a challenge. It was an extended stay so having a tidy space was needed and not having the room cleaning in a timely manner was an unneeded distraction. Otherwise really good hotel, space and location.

Good value, nice bar staff and comfortable room. This used to be the place to stay in Mcallen, and it is a little dated but still a great value for the money. My only complaint was for a two night stay I only had 1 pouch of coffee. The place is a little dated but Architecturally a beautiful building. I will definitely stay again. They also have little gym with several treadmills and some dumbbells , and even a scale which is nice.

I have stayed at Casa de Palmas many times over the years, as I love the old-world charm it brings, and the proximity to awesome shopping, dining, and evening activities. However, the welcome was less than enjoyable, with a disinterested front desk agent, followed by a less-than-stellar bartender. Then my room had a very old, almost sticky carpet, together with thin walls to some noisy neighbors. Finally, an early morning fire alarm followed by no hot water the last morning didn't help at all. I may be looking for a new regular hotel for my frequent visits to McAllen.

The hotel was beautiful! However the room was not the best the tub had chips out of it, the room was just not what I expected for such a beautiful building. This hotel is beautiful but could use some improvement on the rooms condition.

Los cuartos se les sale el agua del drenaje por el lavabo, mandé a mi hijo, a la recepción se burló del acento por ser mexicano, y al momento de llegar, nos atendió una muchacha, súper sagrona y déspota, nisiquiera nos indicó con exactitud por dónde se entraba al cuarto y cuando limpiaron la habitación, nisiquiera resurtieron el jabón de manos, café, ni crema corporal y sólo pusieron 2 toallas, cuando éramos 3 personas.
