I strongly advise anyone considering staying at Hotel Dann Carlton Belfort Medellín to think twice. This was without question one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
First, the property felt extremely insecure. From the moment we arrived, there was a clear lack of organization and control. Our room was in unacceptable condition — the windows were broken, the phone in the room never worked, and the WiFi connection was absolutely terrible the entire stay.
The cleanliness and maintenance were shocking. The cleaning standards were very poor, and several amenities were either damaged or not functioning properly. It felt like the hotel simply does not care about basic upkeep.
Breakfast was another huge disappointment. Every single morning there was not enough food available for all guests. The selection was very limited, poorly replenished, and overall of low quality.
To make matters worse, the room next to ours had loud parties every single night, with excessive noise — including very explicit and disturbing sounds. When we went to reception to complain and ask for assistance, the staff did absolutely nothing. No action, no solution, no follow-up. The customer service was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
This hotel is poorly managed, badly maintained, and does not provide the basic standards of comfort, safety, or respect that guests deserve.
Do not waste your money here. There are far better and safer options in Medellín.
