We stayed in the Jr. suite, it has a unique layout, great location, lots of restaurants near by. Nice balconies, great feature with city views! The walls lack insulation, you can hear everything that’s happening outside of the room, like room doors being slammed, people talking in the hallways, dogs barking, lots of echo, etc! Bed and pillows are average, the room could use better storage space as well. Housekeeping staff is very friendly and helpful! Staff @11.11 for breakfast area is very friendly, however bring Col-pesos as their credit card machine was always out of service. We had a bad experience upon arriving with the receptionist Christian he was very straight forward, he made us feel uncomfortable and not welcomed as he charged us the IVA local taxes for our stay, even after we explained that we were US CITIZENS and lived in the US, he told us PAY or otherwise you have to leave, we were left with no choice but to pay, it was 10:30pm at night and we’re exhausted from traveling. The next morning we informed the rep. manager what had occurred with his staff and he said he needed to inform his manager and he would follow up with us in 2 days, it never happened we had to contact him again, then he told us it would take up to 21 days to process our request, that information was very disappointing! FYI: If you’re Colombian born, this HOTEL will charge the IVA local taxes, even if you are a citizen of another country and or live in the US or else where.

VERY NOISY & CRAMPED- MISREPRESENTED PICS

I booked this hotel expecting a comfortable stay, but it was a huge disappointment. First, the room was much smaller than the pictures suggested—barely enough space to move around comfortably. It felt cramped and nothing like the spacious, well-lit images shown online. To make things worse, there was constant construction noise in the building next to my room. The drilling and hammering started early in the morning and went on throughout the day, making it impossible to relax or get any rest. I was not informed about this at the time of booking, which was incredibly frustrating. Despite raising my concerns with the staff, no real solution was offered. If you’re looking for a quiet and comfortable stay, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Definitely not worth the price!

Good safe and quiet location near cute cafes and restaurants. New hotel and pool and other areas were still under construction. Had to change my room since it smelled like smoke. One night I found a cockroach in my bed.

I had a fantastic time! The junior suite is beautiful. The view from the large balcony was amazing and having the little kitchen was convenient. The space had a great amount of natural light which I really appreciate. The staff made my stay even better. Most frequently I interacted with a front desk person, Emilio Gomez. When you think about customer service, he went above and beyond. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I plan to return to Medellin soon and cant wait to stay at the Heiss Hotel again.

We had an amazing experience at the Heiss Hotel. The staff was so incredibly friendly and assisted us with many thing. They even sent me recommendations of individuals to give us tours around the city. We would definitely stay here again. The only complaint I have is the breakfast, there was not much of a variety at all.

The rooms are too small, without enough space to put luggage, move around and feel comfortable. The location is convenient and centric with a nice area downstairs with restaurants and other dining options nearby. The breakfast included it’s a sample portion and sitting area is limited.

The pros it was up to date, clean. The staff was very helpful, with a lot of beautiful views. The hotel is a part of a small mall featuring a couple of restaurants. Excellent value for the price. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Cons. No TV service only apps The rooms are really small but that should be expected for the price
