The space
Welcome to the Terraces, our charming, 1970’s weatherboard house that blends the character of the era with modern innovations to ensure your stay is as restful as possible.
And now we have added a 5th Bedroom - the Studio. Sitting apart from the rest of the house, the Studio used to be a workshop that we have renovated into a cozy 5th bedroom with fully insulated walls and ceilings, carpeted floor, an AC unit, 2 King Single beds, 2 occasional chairs and a Desk + 24Inch smart TV. With views pit to the Terraces, this could be the perfect hideaway for your teenagers, a spot to work from home undisturbed, or a quiet retreat for a couple. Access to the Studio is up a small set of narrow steps so it's not suitable for people less sure on their feet.
Note: The studio is only available for bookings over 8 guests. We add a small per head fee for this additional bedroom to cover the extra cleaning and servicing.
Back in the main house, our open plan dining area features a large handmade dining table with plenty of space to share a meal. The open kitchen is fully equipped with a good set of kitchen knives, state-of-the-art appliances and all the essentials needed to enjoy some home cooked meals. Our Breville coffee machine (we provide the beans, you bring the milk) means you can enjoy your first coffee of the morning at our custom-made breakfast bar.
Our living area features large sofas, an open fireplace (with plenty of firewood) and views of the mountains through the window meaning there is plenty of space in the house to watch some TV or curl up with a good book. Our Smart TV allows you to log into your own streaming account so you can watch a film in the evening.
Two of our bedrooms contain two, king single beds and the other two contain queen beds meaning there's plenty of space for a good nights sleep. Each of the four bedrooms is fully fitted out with bedside tables, tall boys for your clothes and USB connections next to the bed to make charging your device easy. You’ll find Orthopaedic Euro Top Pocket Spring mattress and hotel quality linen on each of the beds to help make sure you have a good nights sleep. And each room has central heating and air conditioning meaning you’ll will have comfort throughout the house, whatever the weather.
The main bedroom also features a large sit/stand desk and office chair with some nice mountain views meaning you can always head up earlier in the week to work remotely and really make the most of your time in the area.
Finally, the house contains two fully renovated, luxury bathrooms one of which features a beautiful free standing bath. A separate shiny new powder room makes 3 toilets in total meaning no long waits for the bathroom.

We want you to enjoy your stay from the minute you come into the house, so we have tried our best to make sure the house has everything you need to get settled in quickly. You will find:
In the bedrooms: High quality linen, quality mattresses and toppers, orthopaedic pillows and towels are included
In the kitchen:
o A range of herbals teas, fresh ground coffee for the plunger (included), pods for the expresso pod machine and fresh coffee beans for the coffee machine.
o It also comes with basic cooking condiments, herbs, spices, oils and all the kitchen essentials such as foil and baking paper.
o Fully equipped with dishwasher (incl. powder), microwave, oven, sandwich press and nutri-bullet.
In the bathrooms: Organic Australian toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and shower gel). bath salts, a hairdryer in the main bathroom and lots of toilet paper (we don’t scrimp on the important stuff)
In the laundry: Full Laundry with washer and dryer (detergent supplied)
In the Living Area: Unlimited firewood available from the tank outside the house
Other: Personal essentials including First Aid kit and fire extinguisher; For babies and toddlers we provide high chair, portacot books and jigsaws; and a yoga mat to help you relax
For the dog: a cozy dog bed and dog bowls so you don’t have to bring your own
Our dog Dizzy loves his Warburton stays and adventures and we are happy to make this house pet friendly so you can also bring your furry friends. They can use the front yard, or adventure with you up to the terraces. The front garden is fully fenced and ideal for children or dogs to run around
Outdoor Haven:
We like to spend as much time as possible outside so we have spent a bit of time thinking through what we need to enjoy the stars at night.
Our outdoor deck has a Webber Q barbie perfect for your family dinners. Or enjoy roasting marshmallows over the firepit in the evening in the private front garden just off the outdoor deck. You’ll find plenty of firewood in the small shed in the garden. In season, the lemon tree will help put the finishing touches to your gin and tonic.
We have named our house the Terraces because of the beautiful multilevel garden at the back of the house. There is a steep set of concrete stairs leading up to the Pagoda on the third level but it’s worth it for the amazing panoramic views over the valley. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cold beer at the end of a big day or have the peace over your morning coffee.
The Terraces are fun to explore as they’re still a little wild at the moment (small children should be supervised if they’re heading up there) but we're working hard to get the gardens back to their former glory and create the perfect haven to play and relax
Locations:
Our house is perfectly situated just five to ten minutes walk from the beautiful Birrarung (Yarra) river and Warburton main street where you can enjoy exploring the trails along the river or relax with a coffee. Our house also provides you with easy access to the brand-new Warburton Mountain Bike Park as well as the many gravel trails around the area. The Warburton-Lilydale rail trail is also close by, perfect for exploring on two feet or two wheels.
Nearer to your trip, we will share a guidebook we have created with lots of our own local recommendations around the best places to ride, walk and enjoy the outdoors.

Please note a security camera is located only in the driveway, front door and carport areas. This is for security purposes only and does not view any part of the house or garden areas for guests' privacy.

We are mountain bikers, trail runners and all-round outdoor enthusiasts. We love exploring the trails and outdoor areas in the region and enjoy good food, good wine and good coffee. This means we understand what you need to ensure your holiday is full of adventure whilst giving you the opportunity to relax and unwind and have designed the house accordingly. As a result, we are available to provide assistance, recommendations, and ensure you have a wonderful stay.

There is a long drive that runs up the side of the house that leads up to an outdoor area with space for 2 cars. Three more can fit in the driveway.
The doors have digital door locks and you will be sent your unique entry code 3 days before your stay.
There are 6 steps leading up to the front door. There rear door has just one small step to enter.
