30 kilometres from the centre of Melgaco is the Balneario de Mondariz. Alternatively, the Hotel Bienestar Termas de Monção is situated 20 kilometres away. The Casa de Rodas, as well as the Convento dos Capuchos, are two other recommended places to book accommodation in Melgaco.

Should you have the time, make sure you see more of Norte. Admire Norte's beaches. If that's not your idea of a good time, go to the region's ruins, castles and old towns. More active types can try their hand at mountain biking, mountain climbing and hiking in this part of Portugal.
