We are a family of six (three adults and three children), and Casa Yolanda was the perfect home for our week in Mérida.The house is about 15 minutes from the airport, with a Chedraui grocery store conveniently located along the way for stocking up before arrival.Check-in was seamless thanks to Janet’s clear instructions. The home is full of charm and character, and the backyard is stunning. We especially loved the mamey and avocado trees.Future guests should know that the third bedroom (“La Casita”) is located in a separate building across the pool. It offers extra privacy and includes its own A/C, private bathroom, and felt very secure.The house was well stocked with towels and basic toiletries, and every bedroom has its own A/C, which was essential in Mérida’s summer heat. We also loved relaxing in the cool living room hammock after sightseeing.We had a couple of minor issues upon arrival, but Janet responded immediately and resolved everything quickly.Street parking is available during the day, but overnight parking ends at 11 p.m. We parked overnight at a nearby hotel for about 8 USD, which was well worth it.The home matched the listing perfectly, we always felt safe, and La Chaya Maya is an easy walk and a must-visit. Our family loved our stay, and we’d happily return!
