Great accommodation, clean and comfortable, and our host was great at communicating. The pool is a perfect size and was well used during our stay. Casa Carmita is a fantastic little restaurant just steps away from the property and you absolutely must go there - the food was fantastic! Walking distance to grocery and convenience stores made life easy.

The hotel is a lovely property and the staff was kind and efficient. The location is very convenient to the main plaza, many restaurants and lots of shopping. We had two rooms for seven days each. My son became ill while there and he and his family returned home three days early. We were not able to get credit for those days. I travel to Merida about two times each year, so this was disappointing.

My stay at Hotel Casa Balam was truly wonderful. The place is beautiful and has a lovely colonial charm that creates a very special atmosphere. The facilities are well maintained and everything was spotless; the cleanliness was excellent and the sheets were impeccable. The staff deserve special mention — everyone was extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to help. The location is also fantastic and very convenient for getting around. Although the hotel doesn’t have its own parking, they have an agreement with a parking lot just a few meters away, which makes things very easy. I would definitely come back without thinking twice. It was a great experience.
