Not so private

I booked this listing with the understanding that we were going to be the only occupants. Upon arrival we discovered a gated and locked staircase to the upper level. Concerned that the upper floor might be occupied or possibly available for another rental booking, we called Hotels to confirm again the sole occupancy. Satisfied that the accommodation would surfice we retired to our beds. I awoke to the doorbell ringing at 11:30 PM. Not knowing the neighborhood and unaware of who could be at my door so late. Before I could arrive at the metal exterior door the banging began. It was thunderous and terrifying. Apparently the host/owners did indeed reside one the upper floor. There was not security or privacy for our possessions. Overall the host mis represented the accommodation. Hotels fails again when vetting listings accuracy.
