Breakfast was alright, staff is helpful and service is good. But rooms are ancient, can't enter in toilet properly, beds will make noises when you twist and turn. Hard to sleep but it's a good location. Overall will look for more options next visit.

You get what you pay for!

It’s a budget hotel, simply furnished, adequate. Ours was a spacious room with comfortable beds and clean linen. The rooms are arranged in a square so rooms overlook each other. So with the heavy curtains open there’s no privacy; with them closed, you need the light on. There’s tracking for sheer curtains - I guess they were taken down and not replaced. The other problem is that the front line staff have no interpersonal skills; there are no warm smiles or friendly words of welcome. Breakfast’s ok but the staff don’t anticipate the need to restock fruit, coffee, bread (to name those I had problems with!) - they wait til they run out and guests have to ask for more! Anyway, I repeat, it’s a budget hotel. We visit MXC twice a year. There are far better central hotels at much the same price We won’t be coming back here although I’d like to - just to see if anything has changed as a result of this review!

The hotel was nice and clean, some things to consider would be the fact that although the room is spacious, the restroom is really tiny, the beds are old and creak a lot, there's a window, but it leads to a view of the building, and the shower is walled off only by opaque glass but in full view of the whole room. Aside from the room, the lobby feels nice and welcoming, the breakfast has limited options but they're tasy and constantly being refilled. There's also a 24 h. tea and coffee station that's a nice plus on the side of the ammenites; speaking of ammenities, they claim to have a gym but it's lacking in space and equipment which makes it barely functional. All things considered, the room and ammenities are nice(minus the gym), but you'd have to put some thought into who you're staying with if you plan to share a room and might find the bathroom situation uncomfortable.

Some effort would take this from so-so to so good!

This property could use some TLC to get from meh to good. The plug by the bed was non-functional (and somewhat dangerous), the toilet struggled to flush (if it did at all), and hot water was not always available. The beds were comfortable enough, albeit a bit small. The room could have used a min-fridge, and maid service was inconsistent.
