So the check in was pretty fast. Hotel is a little run down with the rooms needing an update. For our first part of the stay we selected a premium view which had wrap around windows. The windows were dirty and full of bird poop. On our way back we got a regular room because of this. The room looked and smelled like it had not been used in a very long time. The linens on the bed had not been changed and the duvet had hairs on it which were there prior to our arrival. The continental breakfast is just coffee and toast. Anything additional is an up charge and any coffee order is billed al carte. There was an elevator down and the snack counter on our floor looked like it was ravaged by children. Spilled drinks and crumbs everywhere. It was like that for the entirety of our stay. In short, you can stay somewhere nicer in insurgentes for about the same price.

Room was clean, outdated. Toilet got flooded and water spilled to floor, reception took 3 hours to partially resolved it o don’t think they did enough to fix the problem. Also check in Wawa 3 PM and room was ready 90 minutes late.

Well, where do I start: 1. Check-in told me to wait 5 minutes to get my room.. I waited for 45 mins… I started eating and finished the lunch I packed and was going to eat in my room!. Was sitting right in front of the front desk, but had to walk back a few times and ask as nobody seemed to be attentive to people waiting for rooms. 2. Toilet had pee from previous guest (or housekeeping!) when I arrived to use my “fresh” room for which I waited in the lobby. 3. My reservation included “free” continental breakfast. When I went to the restaurant, ate a couple of things, had a juice and coffee and got charged for the buffet! Classic bait and switch. The breakfast by the way is something like $20-$25 bucks. Save yourself a stomach ache and eat elsewhere. I brought this up with the manager and front desk and nobody offered to a) remove the charge (how naive am I?), or b) adjust the charge (reduce buffet minus continental rate…)… Restaurant manager made me take pictures are of my reservation in the app and wait… for nothing. A huge waste of time. 4. So the next day I decide to have a coffee in the room. The coffee maker was so disgusting I ended up not having coffee. That thing has not been cleaned in years. 5. Room Safe stopped working mid-stay. At this point I am resigned, checking out next day, so I just want to get out. In summary, there are thousands of hotels in CDMX. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. I, for one, won’t stay at this place again.

Excellent location to walk and move to Downtown and Reforma. The neighborhoood is also lovely. The facilités are great! We were in the third floor and the view to the city was great. Breakfast options and room service are great! Definately will return next time I visit the city!
