Disappointing Condesa stay
Location of the property was excellent. Near shopping and restaurants. Overall condition of the place was quite worn out. Photographs showed a similar unit that we got, but not the exact one. Floor was quite dirty and furniture was heavily used (worn out couch that was sagging, flooring knicked with gouged). Walls had scuff marks and molding was quite dusty and dirty. Kitchen was poorly equipped. Pans were heavily scratched, no basics such as salt, pepper, wine glasses or kitchen towels. No extra garbage bags provided. One extra roll of toilet paper supplied for a 10 day stay.
After a bit of back and forth with the sales manager we were able to get the cookware replaced and extra garbage bags and toilet paper. There was a heavy sewage smell coming from the bathroom of a bed room that made the room unusable. This was finally addressed after 3 days of raising with the property mgr.
What could have been a great place to stay seems to suffer from negligence and lack of care for the property. What made me fully understand this was finding out that the washing machine that was supposed to be in the unit had its internal machinery removed (wash bin and rotor) and no one was aware. When we tried to use the washing machine water poured into an empty space. This was shown to the maintenance person who shrugged and laughed.
After escalation to vrbo, the sales mgr tried to help but not to a fully satisfactory level. Unfortunate as the place had potential.
