Weird place! It was a dirty room. Breakfast was a few boiled eggs which clearly were kept in the fridge from the day before and no bread, plus a few Walmart near expired snacks! The guy in the reception was nice and they had some nice artworks in the lobby and the room. Would not recommend!

The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed chitchatting with them, asking for directions and recommendations for delicious food in the area. Hotel location is great! It’s very close to many attractions in the area. Takes about 10min by car to Bayside Market. The hotel itself is very charming! The rooms are themed and a good size. Bed was super comfortable! The only part that we didn’t quite like were the pillows but that might just be a matter of preference. Thank you for a very pleasant stay Dunns Josephine hotel!

We arrived early and they kept our luggage while we explored the area. The bathroom water temperature was an issue, though. It won't stay constant so as you are taking a bath, you would have to adjust it all the time. Breakfast was very simple but I wish there was water, at least. The only saving grace is the staff was courteous and helpful.

We arrived late into what we found out later was a very unsafe area. When getting ready to leave for our cruise, my son found a needle full of brown liquid above the doorframe in the bathroom. The front desk was notified, went to the room, apologized profusely and advised they would notify the owner. When we contacted Expedia for a refund due to unsafe conditions they called the owner who denied that this even happened and the refund. Do NOT stay here. It is not safe nor quality.

Overpriced. Room was dirty, tv didn’t work, floors were wet and sticky when we entered. There were also suspicious stains on our comforter and chickens directly outside our window which woke us up bright and early. No reason for this to be priced at what it is. The photos on the website paint a totally different picture than the truth. Wouldn’t recommend.

We stayed here for one night while on a long transit between NYC and the Caribbean. The stay was comfortable, the check in was smooth and the staff were nice. Comfortable bed. Decor and furniture are dated, but I think that's part of the point given the historical nature of the hotel. Bathroom didn't have any soap and bottles of water were not complimentary. Would stay here again for a night or two, but far from luxury.
