Lack of Attention to Detail

Although we booked a studio suite, we were first given a regular king room. After going back down, we were given the correct level room. However, the room had only one face towel, the toilet paper holder was broken, the shower grouting needed cleaning, the carpeting was dirty, there was no bin for recyclables, and the coffee maker was missing the slide-in basket (learned this in the morning when I tried to make coffee, and then had to get dressed to go down to get a cup). An aging hotel whose staff is not very attentive to detail.

Think twice

Traveling for leisure with family. Front desk associates were not very welcoming.. Had to constantly call or walk down to lobby to request clean towels, toilet paper, or even to have trash emptied to be told “ room service is offered every other day”. At a minimum towels should be offered daily , trash emptied, and toilet tissue replenished. Had to pay to park . Breakfast was below average . Had a bowl of “ community yogurt” with a large spoon .. no individually packaged servings. No non-dairy milk options , no serving utensils and nobody to enforce the use of them when choosing their bread or muffins.. left people coughing and touching everything with their bare hands. On a positive note, the location was within a reasonable distance to many points of interest. We typically stick with Hampton Inn when traveling however , I would most likely not return to this one. Probably the worst Hampton that we’ve stayed at in recent years.

Nice hotel, but gross room.

I expected much higher standards. The room was visibly dirty, with wine (?) and mud (?) splatters on the wall. The couch was gross and stained. The ice bucket lid was cracked. The bathroom was equally unclean, with garbage on the floor, smears on the counter, and a literal robotussin cup left behind right on the sink. While the staff was friendly and the room temperature comfortable, these positives couldn't outweigh the room's neglect. I contacted the company directly who told me to email the manager; after two emails to her, I haven't received a response.

Stayed two nights after a cruise. Was able to check in a little early infection was available. Spacious room, comfy bed, nice view from the 10th floor. Free daily breakfast and even offered a to go bag when using their airport shuttle service. Hot tub was wonderful. Cool pool though - but great for hot n cold plunging. Publix and fast food places walkable from hotel.

Not so good

Airport shuttle runs once an hour, had to wait. Gave me a room that was not ready, had to go to a different room, another inconvenience. Thermostat is hard to operate. Broken floor button in the elevator, yet another inconvenience. Sound insulation is pretty bad, there is a large gap between the door and the floor. The shower is pretty narrow. So many inconveniences made it a bad experience. Breakfast is superficial, there was not much food to eat.

It was a great place for the price. It was clean, well maintained, comfortable beds, quiet rooms and air conditioning and decent breakfast. Staff was also helpful and friendly. My only issue was the shuttle service. Seems to run on the half hour except in the mornings when it runs on the hour which resulted in a long wait time when we arrived ( we waited a good 40 minutes for the van) and it also meant missing the full breakfast as it isn’t open until 6:00 am but that is when the first van of the morning leaves and there is not another one until 7:00. Luckily the breakfast area opened up a few minutes before 6:00 and I was able to grab us a couple of bagels and coffee before the driver began loading the van promptly at 6:00 am. The van also has no passenger seat belts. I can’t even believe this is legal. I was told by staff that management has been aware of this issue for a couple of years now but continues to ignore it! Shame on them!
