Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was not up to the usual standards. Table tops were dusty. The walls had marks on them. Tile in bathroom was broken. Bath tub drain was rusty. The down stairs dining was very nice. Lobby was beautiful. Parking was good.

We'd had many many hours in the vehicle & needed safe & clean. WE GOT SO MUCH MUCH MORE. Hotel is absolutely jaw dropping beautiful. Restoration of one of Texas's fine treasures was done to the perfection. We even encountered a gentleman who toured us a bit so we could see enlarged photos of the work on re-gutting & rebuilding. Room was perfect a/c (or heat), very very comfie beds, gorgeous original windows, coloration was so 1930s and elegance -I felt Jean Harlow (30's film star) could've graced the big descending staircase. If one's in Big Spring, TX - don't miss this gem of a stay. We hated to leave. Visit the fab bar & casual areas, bring your books and if ya wanna sleep, don't plan to go anytime soon!
