I needed a place to stay before hiking, just a bed that was not my car.. and I honestly may have gotten more sleep if I slept in my car.
Pros -- To start, yes the facility is oddly set up in the lobby and under construction, but as a hiker who arrived around 8pm and left by 4am, didn't care about this. What I did care about was the cleanliness of the room. The room was clean, except for some surfaces that could have used some attention, but bedding was clean, bathroom was clean.
Cons --
HOWEVER - I got about 2 hours of sleep before hiking all day. First - I understand it's a Saturday night, but the sheer amount of door slamming until around 12:30-1 am was absolutely ridiculous. The staff was pretty minimal, so probably not much they could do about it, so rating 1 star because of ignorant guests doesn't seem fair.
Second, about after midnight, there was an intense nasty smell (I'm wondering if it was from some kind of furnace or additional heat source?) it smelled like sewage, it was awful. I didn't get much sleep because of that either.
Overall, would not stay here again - I don't recommend it to someone that's relying on sleeping the night before a hike, but maybe if you have nothing else and can't spend a night in your car or camp, it's better than absolutely nothing.
