I have been to this property many times, however on this visit the quality and portion size of the dinner selections had significantly dropped and the prices were distinctly higher; too high in fact. The bar staff were excellent.

We're really disappointed in our stay at the Westin Downtown Milwaukee. We made reservations for October 17, 2025 and October 18, 2025 to celebrate my wife's birthday. We asked for an upgraded room with a lake view and got room 930 with an expressway view. We complained and got a refund for the exta fee. The air vent flows air directly to the bed and the thermostat didn't work. My wife has Asthma and couldn't sleep. Early the next morning as we were out to the early morning the night before, we asked for another room and was told all rooms have the same air vent setup. Unfortunately the hotel could not accommodate our needs and we had to cancel the 18th due to unacceptable room conditions. The headboard was also damaged. After numerous calls and emails to the front desk manager and several reservations did the hotel agree to refund us for the one day we did not stay because of the unacceptable room conditions. We were made to feel that we were lying and that the room was in acceptable condition. This is an outright lie and I suggest you first check the room if you're staying at the Westin Downtown Milwaukee before fully checking in. We’ve never been treated in this manner by any of the other Marriott properties or other reputable hotels in Milwaukee. It’s really a shame.
