Ryan the host was very responsive to questions and provided good information about the area. We loved the original woodwork, doors and the butlers pantry. They were true to the era of the house. The tile work for updating was beautifully done. The quality of amenities was as expected and the art and furnishings were eclectic and interesting. The shower was tall and had good water pressure. Close to food and entertainment.

We had a disappointing experience at this property. Upon arrival, the unit was not clean. There was significant dust throughout, garbage left in drawers, and visible buildup under the bed. In the bathroom, conditioner leaked out of the dispenser and appeared to have been left for some time.More concerning were maintenance and safety issues, including dangerous wiring in a wooden built-ins and a bird nest inside the bedroom AC unit, with birds actively entering the apartment.It is our opinion that the condition of the property did not meet reasonable expectations for a short-term rental.We would recommend that the property be thoroughly cleaned by a professional and that maintenance issues be addressed before hosting future guests.

This was like this when we arrived. It had obviously been this way for a while. The conditioner leaked out of the dispenser. I didn't want to use the shower after seeing this.
I was looking for a remote to raise the motorized bed and found this pile of dust under the bed.
It's not legal to use one of these outlet adapters in this way. the wire went into a cabinet, where it was spliced with wire nuts. It was a dangerous situation.

Ryan was an excellent host! Friendly, great communication, and accommodating when I and my middle aged co-guests’ old eyes needed brighter light bulbs to play a game in the living room. Location is a great home base for exploring Riverwest, East Side and beyond. The space’s decor is as cool if not cooler than it appears in the listing photos, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Lovely old house! The home owner initially wanted to meet us upon arrival but when I asked for contactless check-in (I was exhausted, starving and needed to use the bathroom), he agreed. The neighborhood is in transition - a person rode up on a bike and asked me for money as I was waiting by the car. Fenced back yard was nice but I was surprised when two old (sweet) little dogs came out of the garage while we were out there. (We stayed here Aug. 20-21, but I guess the host reviewed us as being there the night before so that’s what it’s reflecting.)

This is a sweet property

Cozy spot, comfortable beds, stocked spice rack. Came through for the night with a few friends. Owner met us at the property and gave us a walk around and explained how to properly access the top bunk of the bunk bed. Thanks for everything

We had a group of 7 at this property. We all fit very comfortably here and having 3 bedrooms with multiple options for sleeping arrangements worked perfectly. Ryan was great with communication. The space was very clean and had a lot of character. Would highly recommend this property.
