The Neighborhood: The Mill District, Minneapolis (also known as Downtown East) is re-emerging as the city's historical and cultural epicenter. The legendary flour mills which once dominated the St. Anthony Falls, have been given new life as many of the original buildings have been converted into elegant homes, and slick office space.
Many of the historic buildings have transformed into cultural attractions with the Mill City Museum, Guthrie Theater, and MacPhail Center for Music, all taking up shop in the Mill District.
Getting Around: Uber and Lyft drivers are everywhere. We find the location and downtown to be very walkable as well :)

Smoking, of any kind, is not permitted within or outside of our suites, including balconies, patios, or common and/or parking areas. Noise policy: Guests must agree to not disturb neighbors at all times during the stay. In addition, guests must agree to observe quiet hours from 9pm-8am each day. The home is proactively monitored with decibel sensors for compliance with this noise policy.
Long-term stays (30 days+): Long-term guests will be subject to a background search and credit check.
Note that all guests are required to submit a $200 security hold on a credit card in case of incidentals that is released 3-5 days post check out or may choose a $39.99 non-refundable damage waiver.

Great location with some issues
The property is located just a block from the river and provides convenient access to the downtown area. It was the perfect size for our family of three. However, the check-in process was overly complicated and you can’t receive the exact address or check-in instructions until 2 hours before check-in. The AC was provided by a stand-alone unit which could not cool the entire apartment even though temps were in the 60s and 70s while we were there. The back bedroom in particular was hot and stuffy. The AC unit also had a loose exhaust hose, so some of the hot air was venting into the apartment rather than out the window. There were ceiling fans in both bedrooms which helped with cooling, until I saw that the glass over the light on the back bedroom fan was not only severely cracked, but was actually missing a chunk of glass. I didn’t want to turn it on again in case any more glass fell out. The mattress in the back bedroom was incredibly soft, though the other bed seemed fine. Dishes had been put away with food still on them - I found both a spatula and frying pan with egg stuck to them. There were no dressers in the bedrooms, only large closets with hanging rods. Living out of your suitcase is fine for a couple days but we were there for 6 nights, so it was very inconvenient. There was a single light in the living room area so it was pretty dark. In general, the property just felt neglected and like very little thought had gone into what guests might need.

The condo was great. Location, ease of use, and quality were all there. Hosts got back to us quickly and did thier best to meet our needs. The previous guests took the key fob to access the pool etc, so we were unable to use that, which was not ideal. Apparently there wasn't a spare key fob. For some reason the coffee pot glass was wonky- the pour spout was sideways and made a huge mess every time we tried to pour a cup. Could't turn it back the right way either.
