Downtown Minneapolis is about 12-15 mins, located in a nice frontage road. There is a Trader Joe close by. Parking was free. Staff were nice!

Do not stay here

Really dirty hotel. Trash bags left leaking in the halls, no hot water, slow internet, tub/shower combo not functional, and rude people working up front. Breakfast was gross, not clearly labled for food allergies/restrictions. If you are jewish, islamic, or hindu i wouldnt stay here as they mix their meats/utensils. They also labeled pork sausage as turkey sausage and fed it to people who aren't allowed to eat pork. Gym was dirty, the side doors to the hotel never lock so safety is not guarenteed at all. The heater in the room had only 2 settings, off or standing on the surface of the sun. Do not stay here.

I was racially discriminated by an employee of the name Kimberly She checked me in gave me the hotel keys I proceeded to go to my room as soon as I got into my room she called me and said that she would call the police if I did not return to the front desk before I could ask why she would call the police she hung up the phone As I was putting my shoes on to go to the front desk to see what the issue was she called again and said that if I do not go downstairs she will call the police so I went downstairs the elevators took a long time to open to say if you don't get down here I'm going to call the police I have stayed at this location plenty of times I mind my own business I pay for the room I go in I sleep I leave the next morning As soon as I got to the front desk I was with so much attitude and I asked her she was threatening to call the police on me and being so disrespectful and she claimed that I had locked my card But my problem is it my issue that you let everything go knowing that my card did not go through yet you proceeded to give me the hotel room key therefore it was your fault to give me these keys without getting your payment All I had to do was transfer money back to my check which I did within five seconds I continue to ask what the issue was and she said that if I did not leave the lobby she would call the police on me I had not done anything to this woman if my car did not go through I do not understand why she would give me the hotel room key but

Cleanliness was at high standard......although CS was satisfactory---staff could use cultural-sensitivity training refresher....I sensed some unconscious bias in staff stares/body language/responses at check-in and breakfast. Perhaps the vending machine might be a better idea for the items available in the small store.

Overall had a great stay. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but overall well taken care of room and property. My only wish, which is related to corporate not just this property, is that all pillows provided are not comfortable. Please provide options for side sleepers too.
