1Host Josipa was awesome, couldn’t have wished for anyone nicer, more helpful or friendly. She was there to guide or help whenever we needed.2There were a few things that would be so helpful to have known up front - no toaster, for example. We could have bought one on the way here at Lidl. There are a lot of steps, important to know this is on 4 steep levels so not for everyone.3Essential to bring reef shoes as almost all the access to the sea is very stony and rocky. The closest beach Sutmiholjska is pebbly not sand, but gorgeous, others rocky and 30 min drive. In the National Park, water access is difficult but fun for an hour, the boat ride is just an opportunity to sell food at vastly inflated prices (I paid 10 euros for a can of beer) and only hiking, cycling or kayaking to do, if children old enough. Trips to the mainland require ferry crossing, car 6 people makes it expensive but Dubrovnik worth the trip if you can get up early enough to avoid heat and crowds, but very touristy4Impossible to enjoy this villa without cars. Nothing is close by except a pharmacy and one pizza restaurant which was always very busy. It was a half hour drive to limited restaurants at Polace, Pomena or Saplunara. 5The infinity pool was fabulous, I’d recommend putting up a sail for some shade one end, this would be great for children and adults alike. The two large umbrellas were great but not quite enough. Loungers a bit shabby but useful. We spent much of the holiday here!
