The room was spotless and nice, but could really use some rugs in the winter. The floor was cold! Also, I'd expect a hotel of this caliber to have robes and slippers (which would help with the freezing floors issue too). We were there for Christmas, so there was a great deal of hanging out, but not a whole lot of common space to do so in. I ended up spending a lot of time at the bar, which wasn't so comfortable (or warm). The room had it's own heat, so other than the floors it was warm, and some nice chairs. Breakfast was disappointing and while the rest of the staff was really, really lovely, the staff at breakfast was unpleasant, like we were imposing on them. Perhaps they were understaffed given the holiday special lunch/dinner. I'm guessing that this would be a lovely space to use as a base for hiking in better weather

A Stay filled with Charm and Amazing Views!

The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect, making it easy to explore and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, which made the stay feel even more special. The property itself is full of character and charm, with thoughtful details throughout. The views from everywhere in the hotel were nothing short of magical, whether from the rooms, terraces, or common areas. On top of it all, the food was amazing—delicious, beautifully presented, and a highlight of the stay. A truly memorable experience!

Amazing

What a fabulous and beautiful place to stay. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The views are breathtaking and the whole hotel/castle has fantastic decor and it is immaculate through out. There is always plenty of staff on hand if you need any help or assistance. We stayed in room 403 and the mountain views went on for miles and miles. The food on offer was delicious and the areas to sit out to take in the views that you will never tire of looking at. The room was nice and spacious and a comfortable bed with a lovely big balcony. We will definitely be back! Thank you Andrea and Casper

Incredible place ! Loved my stay I would definitely come back . Lovely staff and sweet. Rooms are very clean and comfortable bed in my opinion. Parking was somewhat easy. But the place itself is really nice the pool is clean and good size with seating area.

Stunning!

Beautiful hotel, well decorated and functional rooms. Staff were very friendly and attentive. You have everything you need on site. Location is a little secluded but the scenery is stunning and most definitely worth the trip. We had no problems getting there and venturing in and out of the town. Overall a lovely, relaxing stay and we hope to return in future.

Lovely hotel, basic / rustic rooms but clean and tidy. Very, very - yes very steep entrance. Difficult to do on foot and even the car struggled, not for the faint hearted. Food at the hotel is very good, which is a bonus as the local town has very little for dinner in the evening and what is there is very basic. They charge for basic things such as bottled water, only a free one on the first day, then €4 a medium size bottle and breakfast is €20 each, so your bill can soon stack up. When we arrived the parking was also full that made check-in very stressful going up and down the hill. The pool has very few sunbeds and most times these were full and taken for the day. The pool also has very little shade, so you end up sitting in the terrace area most of the time or in the hotel. Great for a few days stay, we went for a week, that was far too long ! So, it was nice but would not recommend for a long stay.

A lovely getaway in a small town. Close proximity to a quaint town. The location is a top a large hill with a beautiful view and rooftop bar and patio with good prices. Highly recommend if you need a relaxing escape
