We had a lovely stay in The Country House. Very comfortable and very well equipped. Owners on site. we had one issue which was promptly dealt with. The on-site restaurant, owned by the family, is excellent. But go hungry!Great location for exploring the surrounding area. Bordeaux and Bergerac definitely worth visiting. We particularly enjoyed the various castles. All had something different to offer. Vineyards everywhere!

A real gem

We weren’t sure what to expect when we booked as there wasn’t loads of info… it was absolutely fantastic! Part of a collection of gites on a farm in the really beautiful Bergerac region. Although we had neighbours we were not overlooked and the pool and large garden were just for our use. The little playground you can see in the pics is shared with another gite though I think we were the only ones that used it whilst we were there. The house itself is perfectly French. Spotlessly clean and everything you need for a comfortable stay. 2 of the beds were in the attic space which our teenagers stayed in, it wouldn’t have been suitable for younger children but there is another twin room on the first floor next to the master bedroom. There are two air con units which we appreciated as it did get very hot. It meant we slept well and night! The patio directly in front of the house was perfect for eating outside together and I loved having an outdoor oven! There was a bbq too though we didn’t use it as it was so hot! The pool is completely enclosed making it really safe for families travelling with young children. The host cleaned and checked it every morning before we woke up, it was a brilliant space to relax! Odette and her husband are so lovely and extremely discreet. They met us on arrival and departure and responded quickly when we needed anything. We would return without hesitation as the local area too was wonderful!

Relaxing stay in peaceful surrondings with wonderful pool and terrace

We (family with two kids) spent 2 weeks in the charming country house. Very relaxing and peaceful. The photos of the house tell you exactly what you get: wonderful pool and terrace, a bit dark but well functioning living room and nice bedrooms. The property owner is correct. We also enjoyed the excellent cheap food and wine from from the restaurant in the backyard :-)

Un très bon séjour au calme. Un cadre verdoyant avec une piscine sans vis a vis C était notre deuxième séjour dans ce gîte et nous espérons bien y revenir. Merci a Odette et son mari pour leur accueil !

Séjour au calme.

Superbe environnement très au calme. A déplorer juste le soir le bruit des cuisines du restaurant proche. Maison sympathique, belle terrasse couverte, et piscine très agréable et isolée de tout vis-à-vis. Propriétaires discrets, courtois et disponibles. Attention tout prévoir pour la cuisine, il n'y a aucun ingrédient de base à disposition comme on le voit souvent.
