Very nice property and rooms. A bit lacking in the beach area - seaweed is pretty much everywhere, and general area doesn’t have any space on the sand. Plenty of seating around the main pool. Engine noise started at 6:00 AM on the dot - probably due to fumigation efforts. While not deadly, it is loud enough to be annoying and wake us up. At least in our case, room cleaning was a constant struggle. Not even once our room was cleaned without calling the manager despite the “green” light being on. We’ve seen the person cleaning the rooms on either side of ours, but just skipping us… maybe our room was cursed? 🤔

Absolutely amazing stay at Excellence Oyster Bay. The room we stayed in was massive with a hot tub and relaxing area. The beach and pool area was fantastic with tons of chairs and spaces to relax. We were told the facility was about sold out, but it did not feel packed or overwhelming. Service during dinner and during the day was incredible. The food also exceeded expectations (lobster at Lobster House, food at Spice, and the breakfast buffet). The only downside was the desserts at the restaurants and room service were not as good as the main food.

The property was beautiful and there was little seaweed on the beach which was very nice. The food was good as well. The service however was hit or miss. We really couldn't sleep in as we were on the 2nd floor and kept hearing noise from the floor above --mostly sounds of chairs moving above us. I have stayed at the Playa Mujeres location and the service was outstanding consistently from every staff member. I liked this location, it was beautiful and the beach was wonderful! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves from the beach was awesome! But the trip was costly, If I am spending that kind of money service must be consistent. We had a good trip but in comparison to Excellence Playa Mujeres was a great trip and cost us less money in comparison. The beach was a 5 star, the food was good and the hotel room was nice so it does depend on what is important to you as a guest
