The resort was small and walkable, which was nice, but overall, I was disappointed with my stay. I paid for a VIP upgrade but received the same service and amenities as everyone else. There was no clear distinction between regular guests and VIPs—no wristbands or anything to set us apart. Despite having "butler service," the butlers were rarely available or helpful. I also still had to pay extra for things like cabanas, which I assumed would be included with a VIP upgrade. The number of restaurants was limited, so dining options got repetitive quickly. In the end, the upgrade wasn't worth the money. Everyone had the same access, and I didn’t feel like I got anything extra for what I paid. I wouldn’t upgrade again, and I left feeling like I wasted my money.

Beautiful but lacking

While the resort is beautiful... the service was only subpar. We stayed on the preferred side and I didn't seem like there were too many amenities that the regular guests did not have. They don't monitor the preferred side so any guest was in that area. So why pay the price for the preferred. I also didn't enjoy employees constantly trying to sell you things...and being very misleading and then being rude when you didn't want to buy what they had. Would not mostl likely not come back to a secrets resort.

Had to switch rooms to Wild Orchid which I loved because St. James amenities like pool and bar under renovations. We had to keep walking to Wild Orchid side to do things.

Overall, we enjoyed this property. Beautiful beaches but watch out the jelly fishes. It is very safe. Some heavy drinkers shouting in the wee hours walking by our room. Room services are great. Ocean view room with Jacuzzi is excellent. Concierge service is helpful. Water sports & service team are also friendly as well. BBQ chicken vendor is one of my favorites.

Very nice place. Room was very nice. Beware of the excessive tipping culture. Overall very nice resort take advantage of all three resorts, each one has something to offer. If you can get the preferred package it has a lot of benefits. We enjoyed our stay would do it again.
