At 2 km the small town of Cerbaia offers shops, banks, pharmacy, post office, tennis courts and the bus stop for Florence; about 10 minutes walk from the house also a riding school.
Beyond Florence, Pisa and Siena are also easily accessible other centers of great charm such as S. Gimignano and Volterra and wanting the Tyrrhenian coast in about 90 minutes.
