Room was great, check in at 4 p.m but not ready until 4:45 p.m due to housekeeping not having ready upon arrival. Had to wait with our luggage in lobby with our small dog and other guest whose rooms were not ready. Only one hotel desk clerk actively helping other clerk let line pile up behind me. Very frustrating.

Staff was very courteous. Lobby was it was cute and clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Grits was delicious. Some of the furniture in lobby area was shabby. Grout on bathroom shower walls in the room we stayed needed cleaning.

We asked if they had room service and were told yes. My husband ordered and had to go down and get it. Next morning our in room coffee pot didn’t work so he went down to get coffee. They don’t have coffee out until 7:30. He told them about our coffee pot not working and said they would bring one right up. Never happened. Also advertise pay parking or add it when showing room price.

Front desk/reception service was great. Curtains need attention, shower amenities need attention, water temp ok, 2 television; 1 remote. Phone contact through corporate call center was awful. Took 1 hour and multiple calls to finally speak to someone at the hotel. Needs serious attention to details and unnecessary repeated loops to speak to a live person. Overall update /appearance needed for price and location to remain preferred hotel.

What stood out to me was the cook making the eggs in the morning. Guy was patient and calm even with a long line. Great job! More people need to tip this guy for the great job he’s doing.
