The issues that we encountered were dirty floors and filthy rug , dirty bathroom and no toilet paper. Sharing one bathroom with six other rooms,each room containing up to four people and some with animals. It appeared to me that some people live there permanently .We had Dirty marks on our pillowcases .The back wall of our room was damp and discolored also the ceiling was peeling and looked like it was about to fall down.The heater control unit was a knob hanging from the heater by a wire, which is very dangerous. The door code didn’t always work. The breakfast was novel to say the least and was short on what was ordered. We had one towel between two and that wasn’t clean so we didn’t use it .
As for the dead hanging plant that sums it up!!!!
My wife has asthma and has allergies and this was not a good environment for her. Expedia told us to report this to the front desk and we told them that there wasn't any. We have since discovered that Expedia have known about this hostel for years and have chosen to ignore the same Problems which date back to at least three years. Why is this dump allowed to accept guests through Expedia and steal people’s money???
I think this is a sick joke Expedia asking what the problems were, when they have had reviews for exactly the same things we endured. The hostel refused us a refund and Expedia are still advertising their lies.
