From check in to check out, (3 nights) the hotel staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Especially during check in, and baggage handling. My partner and I were treated as if we were regulars or frequent visitors. The King Suite was spotless, housekeeping timely and diligent. Room service was prompt and, of course, helpful. I feel what separates perfectly fine lodging establishments from the very best is attention to overall details no matter how minor and treat the lodgers as special guests. The Fairmont Royal York one of the best, hands down.

very comfortable and clean room. I missed having a mini-fridge, this should just be standard in any room, especially one at this price.

There were nice “amenities” like a Nespresso machine. The bed was comfy. The view was pretty from our room. There was a long wait at check-in as there was one staff member at the desks. The room was fine, had it been a cheaper hotel. Instead it’s a small room with the smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen in a hotel. No fan in the bathroom - would have appreciated that. It was quiet and overall a good stay.

Everything was great except the process of recharging my EV. While other hotels provide recharging free of charge, the QE required payment. Now, the cost was not a big issue, more of a frustration, but this required me to go to a separate garage and plug in yhe car myself. I suppose you could call this "1st world problems," but I'm certainly going to choose a hotel that takes care of this logistics for me, thus removing one thing that I need to think about during my stay. Having said all of this, I would like to say that the valet staff were friendly and helpful. The problem is with the policy.
