Our stay at Sonder La Guerin was very pleasant. We had a little issue getting our pre-arrival verification completed as well as receiving our access information. I was able to sort both these issues out by phone but that, of course, took much longer than if we had been able to complete them online as expected. The room was as expected with kitchenette and washer and dryer in a studio setup. The sound between rooms was okay but at times we could hear music betweens rooms, though nothing too late and i can't recall hearing people except when they went past the door. The area was quite nice and very walkable with lots of shops, cafes, and restaurant, as well parks. The metro station was a couple of blocks away, which added to the convenience.

We loved our stay and I always appreciate staying somewhere with a full kitchen! This apartment is in a very cool spot and felt very comfortable and safe amidst a busy metropolitan area.

Zero support. Very uncomfortable.

Stay was overshadowed by a non-functioning air conditioning unit, during a heat wave stay in the summer. A/C was not functioning on arrival, staff informed me over chat that it would be fixed the following day. It was not. They said the task was escalated to 'urgent'. Not fixed the following day either. I slept terribly the entire trip. Very frustrating when A/C was a critical factor when booking. No face to face interaction the entire stay. I felt neglected and unsupported. Clearly Marriott / Sonder underestimates what is required to maintain apartment units. Also, wifi connection was terrible in the unit.

The AC didn’t work and the room was hot and stuffy. We got in touch with them every single day asking for someone to come look at the AC. We were promised someone everyday and even told it had been looked at implying the AC was fixed. Nothing. We finally checked out early to find a different hotel.

The room was on the 2nd floor and a corner suite looking down on Ave Mont Royal and Rue Drolet and overtop the amazing Toledo bakery. It is right in the middle of where things are happening in Montreal. Despite this being a busy place, I slept amazing in the very comfy queen bed. Sonder appropriately provides a white noise machine and ear plugs. I used my own white noise and wasn't woken once by sounds coming from outside. The apartment was bright with lots of windows (and good blinds). A/C and fan kept the room at my desired temperature. There was a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom was clean and shower nice (no tib). The only reason 1 removed a star is that the fixtures in the bathroom were loose (the toilet paper would fall off the holder onto the floor.) And the window sills needed paint and calk. The bedside lamp wasnt reachable from the bed. That was it. I loved staying here and I will definitely be staying here again the next time I come to Montreal.
