Facing the rocky outcrop of Roca longua and the castle of Moun Sere, this old stone forge offers an exceptional living environment.
In the heart of the village of Montseret and its picturesque alleys, "La Forge" will allow you to stroll to the rhythm of the song of the cicadas as well as walking the hiking trails on the Cathar trails.
Positioned in the heart of the vineyard and only a few kilometers from the Fontfroide and Lagrasse abbeys, the cultural and epicurean stops will satisfy the most demanding of you.
After a good meal on the terrace which enjoys a breathtaking view of the rest of the village and the castle, you can at leisure enjoy the shade of the fig tree or the pines for a little nap or the swimming pool with its waterfall for a improvised water polo game.
At the end of the day, as aperitif and barbecue preparations approach, the pétanque court will undoubtedly be one of the most convivial places.

The house was fantastic we could not fault it in anyway Katherine and her family met us when we arrived and were very welcoming if you want to plan a family holiday away that is not over run with people this is the place to stay One consideration is you are much better off having a car

Fantastic property and holiday

La Forge is really beautiful, in a tranquil location, but just a few minutes walk from a couple of nice restaurants. Inside and around the villa there was everything you wanted and needed, and all was of great quality. The beds and linen was comfortable, so that along with top class air condition made sure we slept well. The correspondanse with the family who owns it was all very good, we felt very welcome. Thank you!

What a beautiful place. Very tranquil - we were a bit concerned about lack of restaurants in the village but we enjoyed the house so much that we were happy to bbq most nights. The house was perfect for a family of 4 plus grandparents. Air con and WiFi worked perfectly so everyone happy! Thank you Sebastian and to your parents who are lovely.

Beautiful place to get away

We so enjoyed our stay of three nights at La Forge. The house is as beautiful as the photos, and it accommodated our family of four with rooms to spare. The kids enjoyed the gaming consoles, and outdoor activities. We came to Monseret during April, and things were very quiet, as well as rainy and cold. It is usually sunny and warmish so we didn't have good timing for weather. I think we would plan to come in early to mid-May next time to find the region more vibrant, more restaurants open for the season, and the weather warmer. Cathérine and Sébastien's parents met us at the house when we arrived and gave us a tour. They were available and in contact with us during our stay in case we needed anything - very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for opening up your charming home to travellers who want to get a taste for small town France and the castle country.

We enjoyed the house and swimming pool. Unfortunately the airco on the first floor didn't work and the owner said it will be replaced. You have yo drive for at least more than half an hour to see something interesting.
