Great View, Great Place

If you go onto most sites, you'll see people say The View is better. But it's also about twice the price, and we loved Goulding's just fine. The view here is remarkable too, and from our second floor balcony, we loved watching the changing shades as the sun went down. Then the next morning I was just 8mins drive from a glorious sunset at the Visitor Center for Monument Valley. I like, though, that they're not just resting on the view: everything in the room worked, the bed was comfy, things were clean, staff were all nice and helpful, the restaurant was decent, and access to a grocery store very nearby was nice too. So, yeah, if you're rich and money is no object, The View's proximity to The Mittens is surely great, but Goulding's served us extremely well and didn't bankrupt us doing so.

The staff were very accommodating making some changes to our rooms when we arrived so that our dog would not have to deal with stairs. We stayed in the cabins which were very nice, clean and had a great view of Monument Valley. We were very pleased overall.

Awesome time at Gouldings!

The BEST place to stay in Monument Valley! Our little villa/cabin was perfect for our family of six, with plenty of beds, a kitchen, and a nice deck. Also, it was walking distance to the grocery store and laundry. Great views of the area from just steps away from the front door. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the accommodations and the area itself. We will certainly look to stay here on our next visit!

the room we stayed in had a view of the valley. Amazing sunrise view without leaving the room. Great for people that don’t want to get out that early. Good food with a view as well. Service was great and big portions. Our bed was too soft for our liking. Room attendants didn’t clean under the bed for the last visitors but did know that until we were checking out making sure we didn’t leave anything behind. Great little history museum and theater. A little gift shop on site. Store and gas station less the 2 mins away. Quiet and peaceful setting.

Stunning location with easy access to Monument Valley Park. Our villa accommodated 5 people very comfortably. Onsite restaurant had convenient hours and very good food. The shop also had a nice mix of souvenirs. Would return to Goulding's in a minute!

Beautiful location, rooms were tired, but nice view. There was one woman in restaurant, the Trading Post volunteer and gift shop worker was nice, but every employee/ volunteer was not nice nor welcoming. Customer service was poor.

I was very impressed with the entire property. The cabin was awesome, the restaurant was very nice and the food was great! The grocery store was packed with everything I needed and more. I would recommend going to Goulding Lodge. I will be back.

One of 2 places to stay at Monument Valley. This is a very old motel. However, the view is amazing and the restaurant is great. The room size and amenities do not warrant a $200+ price. Kayenta is closeby and has a few modern hotels.

Lovely

Rooms were clean. Had everything I needed. Fridge, microwave and coffee in room. Walls a bit thin bring some ear plugs. The restaurant is very overpriced but expected for a tourist trap hotel. Food was decent. The hotel itself is really cute. Gift shop, museum and tours right outside your front door. Staff was amazing. My tour guide was very informative and fun.
