Had to wait 30 minutes after 4pm To get into the room there was no decaffeinated coffee and when I went downstairs to see if the restaurant had decaf they only had regular but. Nice place staff was friendly and the beach is foot steps away and they put out chair and umbrella for you tho some people took two umbrellas and only had two people in their party

I have stayed at this property numerous times over the years starting with when it was The Clam Digger. It was then bought and renovated. The rooms and lobby were upgraded. Chairs and umbrellas were available for a cost of $25 for 2 chairs and an umbrella. The cost was reasonable. This was when the name was The Inn at Pine Knoll Shores. The restaurant was still available. This visit was now under the name of The Crystal Coast Oceanfront Hotel. Apparently the hotel was acquired about 9 months ago. PROS: Rooms were clean and mostly upgraded. A small coffee machine, microwave and refrigerator w/a tiny freezer was available. It was a balcony front room. Beds were 2 doubles and were comfortable. Bedding was adequate. Clean towels were available at the front desk. There was an ice machine on our floor. There was sodas and water and snacks available on the main floor, although expensive. The pool and hot tub were nice. CON: There is now a parking fee of $19.99 daily. Chairs and umbrellas were first come first serve. They were put out at 9:00. By 9:30 on a nice day they were all taken. There were plenty of lounge chairs available around the pool. They were not able to keep up with clean towels. The tiki bar is a private company separate from the hotel and did not open some days. The restaurant was also a private company separate from the hotel. It was pricy, but the food was very good and the staff was very helpful. Our TV was an old RCA and didn’t work well.

Not impressed. Ive paid less and stayed in nicer places. Restaurant in hotel is awful. Staff is rude and food was bad. Not enough chais and umbrellas for all the guest. Drain clogged in shower.Place needs an upgrade.

The hotel property, pool, jacuzzi and bar area is excellent. The restaurant was not great. Was waiting to be seated; finally went in and poured myself a coffee and then the gentleman at the bar asked if I was just having coffee and I said I wanted breakfast. He told me to take a seat anywhere. But no one came over to see what I wanted. So then he came back and said there's only the buffet until 11. It had a good selection, but it was all cold because none of the trays were covered. The pancakes were dried out and crumbling. The waiter only came by once to ask if I wanted coffee, which I already got for myself. For two of us breakfast cost $40, very overpriced for no options and a cold continental breakfast that most restaurants offer for free. The pool bartender Kellie was excellent, however! Not enough beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for all guests, even though everyone pays a resort fee.

Internet was very slow, beds were very comfortable. Only negatives I can say is there is not many options available near by for food. The hotel does offer food but during our stay breakfast was only buffet w 6 options available, they do have lunch and dinner options but w a picky kid we needed more options. We are normally a Carolina or Kure beach people which everything is very close by and a lot more going on. This hotel is at the end of Atlantic beach very low key relaxing and queit besides the few people that were extremely Inebriated. Also the bathroom in our room was very tight/small but handicapped accessible bc it’s just a shower but if you need room to move around definitely not possible with the bathroom door shut. But overall we really enjoyed our stay. Only reason I didn’t give 5stars is bc the internet was so horrible and our cell service wasn’t that great so it was difficult to navigate things needed to be done remotely. I will say the room was nice and the view was great! It was dog friendly but definitely should look into having a better designated dog area.

Great stay with super friendly staff and views

From the time we stopped inside till we left everything was perfect. Beautiful views, friendly staff on hoyrl and on the beach. They provided beach chairs and umbrellas an extra bonus. Restaurant was good, little pricey. I've had better seafood but still tasted good. Every room has a balcony and ocean view.
