We welcome you to the Basque Country in one of our two very comfortable chalets, rated 2 prefectural stars. These are two authentic, very well-insulated wooden houses—two unique, identical chalets that are fully equipped, always spotless, and feature a terrace high up among the trees, where you’ll wake up to the sound of birdsong. These chalets are of very high construction quality.
For 2 adults (plus up to 2 children under 10).
There are 3 adjoining chalets; the middle one is no longer available for rent—it is now a guest house, rarely used, and never noisy.
There is no sharing of space between the two chalets available for rent.
The location is ideal for relaxing in the evening, ensuring a good night’s sleep and allowing you to recharge after long days exploring the Basque Country and its beaches. No direct view of neighbouring properties. Located on a 2-hectare property with a forest of century-old oak and chestnut trees. A haven of peace, with secure parking and small shops and shopping centers nearby. The cottages are ideally located as a starting point for exploring the Basque Country or Spain, visiting one of the many beaches in the Basque Country or the Landes region, or touring Bayonne, Anglet, or Biarritz.

Cobadena-Borda? These are two cottages built on our large property, right next to our small house, to be operated as “GITES D’HOTES”: We’re right next door—we’re here to help, provide information, and share. You, too, will come and come back…
COBADENA? It’s a made-up word that stands for “COte BAsque DEcouverte NAture” (Basque Coast Nature Discovery)… and “BORDA,” which means “sheepfold” in Basque. I used to organise nature discovery hikes in the low Basque mountains; we can talk about that again if you’d like.
At Cobadena-Borda there are no “tourists”—only “DéZámis”!
