Mt Cook is a destination that has to be visited. However it is expensive with limited options to dine. Nowhere to relax and have a drink before cooking your own dinner. While the alpine lodge was ok I would never return for a second visit. Very happy I only booked one night

Easy to find, easy check-in, fantastic views, kitchen area has everything that you need to cook up great meals, but make sure you bring your ingredients, there are limited shopping options.

Welcoming staff, we booked a premium $188 room upstairs with a king size bed. The room was small, furnishings were tired and basic. Left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
