Upon arrival , the front entrance was not clean, front desk check-in smelled like cigarette smoke and trash. I was informed the elevator was broken and I was on the third floor, which wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t have alot of stuff. The room was very dirty, smelled like cigarettes and cat pee. It was too much of a hassle to switch hotels due to the fact it was late and we had a funeral in the morning. I had to go buy cleaning supplies and air fresheners to tolerate it. The smoke detector was missing also. Would not stay again, pictures on website are very misleading!

Stay at the hotel was very poor service when I got there on Saturday morning the receptionist was very very helpful very satisfied but the condition of the hotel is very poor dirty the floors were not vacuumed garbage bags in the hallway and had not been picked up all night.

Very disappointed that the elevator was not working and we were forced to climb a couple flights of stairs to our room - very inconvenient after recent ankle surgery. And there was a lot of noise, speeding traffic and shady characters (drug dealing?) in the parking lot.

Don't Do It!

I was told the elevator was out of service, the room I booked was on the 3rd floor only,...switched my smaller room to 1st floor without compensation...room was filthy, bed not made, trash can overflowing, returned to front desk to be given a 2nd room that had a horrible odor so I sprayed disinfectant Lysol...when I opened the closet the smell was even stronger...someone has urinated in two towels, folded them up, and placed them on the top rack...I removed them with a trash can liner and took them to the front desk...I will NEVER stay there again...This property has changed and gives Sonesta a bad reputation!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

After this past weekend’s stay, unfortunately, I cannot give Sonesta Simply Suites Philadelphia Mount Laurel a 10-star rating. While there were some positive aspects to our visit, there were numerous issues that impacted our experience. The positives: Check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. The shower had excellent water pressure and hot water, which was very much appreciated. The rate we received for our 3-night stay was very reasonable, providing good value for the cost. However, there were several downsides that need addressing: The room was dimly lit, and several lights were non-functional, including the lights in the bathroom. The bathroom vent was inoperable, which contributed to poor air circulation. The microwave’s range light was also broken. The quality of the shower gel was subpar, which affected our overall experience. The kitchen and bathroom floors were not clean upon arrival. The kitchenette area lacked essential items, such as dish towels, and there weren’t enough utensils for proper use. There were no premium TV channels available for entertainment. Additional concerns: The elevator was out of service during our stay, which was inconvenient. The hallway had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke, which was unpleasant. The parking lot was littered with debris and trash, giving a poor first impression. Given these issues, we will not return!

Afaf, was excellent!!!! When I went to her with my concerns she addressed it quickly and resolved my problem quicker. So would return because of this. My only issue is that the carpet should be cleaned frequently, because it gave off a odor.

I have stayed at many sonesta hotels around the country and this one did not meet expectations. Hotel was not clean, and overall condition was worn out. I expect more from Sonesta. I would not stay here again at this location or recommend it unless It was updated and remodeled.

A home away from home

Stayed here for a good amount of time. Felt very cozy they give you a sense of feeling like you’re home. Not too over bearing. You’re required to request your room needs but they accommodate shortly. I recommend.

Stayed there when I went to watch the Birds with the Super Bowl!!!!! Go Birds. Oh yeah hotel was perfect for a weekend getaway. Everything is near you. 20 mins from Philly. Mall near by. I always stay here for a Philly trip.

I’ve been using this hotel for years, never any problems. This stay was the first time I had an actual issue. The staff and cleanliness was all still there but the comfortability was not. The elevator was out of order which mean using the steps every time you left the room and the thermostat in the room was also inoperable. Which meant whatever the temperature outside was, determined how cold/hot your room was.
