We waited for over 2 hours to be able to get our room because it was being cleaned. We were told many times to wait only 5 minutes and it kept on going and going. While waiting we had many guest come down and complain about how dirty their rooms were and we even witness someone come down and say they was given someone else room. Our room was clean and its was good for the price but the unprofessional staff and lack of organization was horrible would not recommend.

It stinks, service was the worse. They make you change your own sheets, the furniture is filthy. They make you clean your own rooms, the manager walked in our room without knocking while my friend was naked after taking a shower. Housekeeping the day if checkout walked in our room without knocking. The hot tub is the same temperature as the swimming pools. The paint chipped off the doors and room walls. They refused to give me a receipt at checkout. Dont bring cash to pay because i believe they are stealing it. I never been refused a receipt staying at a hotel or resort.The pictures are not what you get in person. Our tub didnt drain and maintenance was supposed to come our 1st day. Never came the 4 days we were there.

The property was very unclean, dirty walls, floors, oven was gross. The beds were uncomfortable. Trash was outside my room, had to ask several times for it to be picked up, I cleaned it myself. The elevator kept breaking down and the stairwell was horrific as it appeased to have never been cleaned. The were always out of towels.

Have fun or just Fake it!

Check in was terrible and had my stress level through the roof. As we were waiting to get our problem resolved, another woman was complaining about her room and wanted to be moved. Well, we ended up with that room that she was in, but yet the front desk told us that we were assigned that room when all their drink marks were all over the tables and sweating profusely. Even to the point that the sliding door barely would open. The main door to the room wasn’t shut all the way(it had issues too). Overall, the walls were pretty dirty throughout the room. The stove had a lot of rust on it, just very outdated. On the bright side it was nice to have beach access and the bathroom seemed pretty clean overall. Walking to and from the beach access door left little to be desired. A great space, just being pretty neglected. They store all of the housekeeping carts and often it was smelly. The property just felt very unkept overall. The same dirty towels stayed out in the pool area for two days. It just felt gross. The neighboring resorts with the pools had maintenance out every morning cleaning sanitizing, however ours did not. I also have never been to a hotel/resort where housekeeping was cleaning rooms at midnight. Seemed a lil strange. Downside- the access room for housekeeping was directly across from our room and let’s just say they weren’t quiet. I sure hope they can get it together!! You definitely get what you pay for! Not worth the July prices! J/S

Weekend in Myrtle

My family and I stayed in a suite at the Palette Resort. Check-in was at 4pm but we weren't able to actually check in until closer to 5pm. The floors were sticky, there was a used towel still hanging up in the bathroom and the suite didn't include kitchen items (cups, plates, utensils, etc.). Tried to call the front desk but the phone was dead and in order to plug it up, a queen sized bed would have to be moved. We left it as is. The location was great. It's right off the beach and the resort comes with 3 pools and a hot tub. It's also a close distance to the board walk.

It would’ve been better to pay all fees up front instead of being hit with $15 fee and then $100 deposit. It’s like I paid for the room twice. Other than that, it was an ok stay. The stove in the room was terrible and broken but other than that it was ok.
