I checked in for one night of sleep before an event I am attending in Myrtle Beach. Staff was courteous. Then it got ridiculous. The walls are paper thin. The 6 kids in the room next door spent the first 4 hours yelling, screaming, bouncing around, and let’s not leave out the crying, etc. no adult supervision. Endless. About 9:30, the noise stopped - yay! Doh. Nope. Now I know why. The adults have kicked off the party, complete with wall-shaking stereo, thumping bass, and door wide open so they can share. One patron said , “I don’t give a f*ck” when asked to keep the noise down - trying to sleep. I have literally packed my bags and paid for another room at another hotel to try and get some sleep. Ghetto does not describe this place accurately enough. A 1-star rating is being overtly generous.

The lady in the office was an absolute doll but there needs to be attention given to the room. It was clean actually having a bleach smell. The sink didn’t drain well. There was duct tape on the wall and the center lights did not work. The outdoor patio facing the ocean was spectacular. Many 10s were given to this property and that confused me. I think a 10 is a luxurious property; this was nothing close to that. However, we did only pay $67 and we got exactly what we paid for so maybe that’s where the 10s come from. Dogs are great but only if they don’t bark - a lot. It’s an old school motel between huge hotel/condo buildings which is nostalgic but the place needs a major renovation. Staff were very kind to us.

It's a budget motel that is very pet friendly! Which is the main reason we chose Vancouver Motel. The room was very much dated. Some things didn't work (we couldn't get the Tv to work, but we don't watch much tv anyway, low shower water pressure, hot water took forever to come through), there were rust stains on the interior door, etc. A good paint job and some sprucing up is needed. Mostly though, we enjoyed our stay. It's a very laid-back atmosphere. Check-in was straight forward and easy. The lady who checked us in was so nice and pleasant. We definitely will consider coming back at some point. I will request a second or third floor room next time.

Nice view. Friendly staff that showed us our room in advance. Nice cleaning staff. Many guest rent here yearly for month long periods in the winter. Property a little old but well maintained. Good value. Close to several good restaurant and shopping areas.
