Physical plant: Room was small but well designed and very clean. The view on the harbor was OK - not the hotel's fault - it's just that the harbor is nothing special. It was nice to have the large balcony. The rest of the hotel is very decent. Location: It cannot be any more convenient than this. Close to the train station, the tram station, the biggest shopping mall in Nagasaki. Service: Stellar! Check-in service, taxi service, restaurant reservations, check-out service, service at breakfast. NOTHING to complain about. Food: Breakfast is excellent. I had three dinners at the hotel. At the main restaurant, at the teppanyaki restaurant, and at the sushi restaurant. All three dinners were very good, with the teppanyaki dinner being the best. If one day I return to Nagasaki, I will definitely stay here again.

This was an excellent stay, can only recommend.

Staying at Marriott hotel is a treat. I was able to give max 5 stars, and I wojld give min of 10! Every single member of staff appears professional, they were always polite and very helpful. The room was something else, if we could, we would live there. Compare to prices in the UK oir 2 days stay was cheap and we thoroughly enjoyed that. If you can, book Marriott!

I recently stayed at this Marriott and would not recommend it for families with small children, giving it a two-star rating. The experience was not kid-friendly. The staff seemed unprepare and indifferent to accommodate families, showing little assistance with our needs, like early check-ins. For a supposedly upscale property, the lack of family consideration and subpar service make this a poor choice for those traveling with young kids. Look elsewhere if you’re bringing children.

They’ve got a “customer harassment” policy posted right in the front lobby. I get that nobody should deal with harassment, but it felt super tacky for an upscale place to hit guests with a warning before even saying hello. I’ve stayed at plenty of Marriott properties, and I’ve never seen this before. It really speaks volumes about how the management views customer service. Heads-up, folks.

I recently stayed at a Marriott property and had mixed feelings about the experience, warranting a two-star review. The facility itself was impressive—clean, modern, and well-maintained, with great amenities that made the stay visually appealing and comfortable. However, the customer service was substandard and left much to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, often taking too long to address basic requests, and still got it wrong. To top it off, I was hit with an unreasonable overcharge on my bill that wasn’t clearly explained, and resolving it felt like pulling teeth. While the property itself is top-notch, the poor service and unexpected charges significantly detracted from the overall experience. Marriott needs to step up their customer service game to match the quality of their facilities.

Top notch place to stay while in Nagasaki. As per normal Marriot, the room were impeccable and quite luxurious. The only thing I didn’t like was the WiFi service. It is tied to their Bonvoy services and does not work well with VPN. This is commonly throughout the Marriot system and annnoying from a connectivity standpoint. Ignoring the wireless issues, this was an overall excellent choice. Staff were extremely competent and friendly, food choices (while pricey) were very good. Would visit again and highly recommend.
