Hotel is a bit older, it is starting to show its age scratched furniture, wear spots on carpets, etc. You can tell this was a premier property, just needs to be modernized a bit. I love the architecture inside. Staff were very attentive and welcoming especially to a westerner. I do speak Chinese so the staff really seemed eager to assist me on any of my needs.

Great hotel and great lovation. We stayed in the Pacific Tower. Very good service, very good food at the breakfast buffet, nice , clean and well maintained room and facilities. Very service minded staff, good pool and fitness facilities. We will be back next time we visit Nanjing again.

Excellent service, excellent location, friendly and attentive staff, especially the concierge, Odette Pan. She arranged a private art tour of the art located around the hotel’s premises for me and explained the hotel’s history and design. Highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are traveling to Nanjing!

For the room the hotel provided to us, for the first night, while was taking a shower, the roof right above the shower head had leaking, not just small dripping rather fast. We complained to the room attendant. Because it was very late in the night, we were too exhausted to let the repair person in to check it. We went to bed without a shower. On the second day, in the late afternoon, when we came back our hotel room. There was a note on the table, it says our room was ready. The hotel provided us with a rather spacy, nicer room for our second night in the hotel.

The classic Nanjing hotel which has recently undergone major renovations (opened to the public in 1983), located in the heart of the city, served by two subway lines connecting it to all major sites in the city North-South and East-West. Great food and impeccable service all around.

Great location! The room is very nice and clean, bed is comfortable. Front desk staff Duncan Zeng is very welcoming and helpful. We would stay there again.
