The Professor’s charisma was genuinely lovely and made for a warm welcome. He was always available and very quick to reply on WhatsApp, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, aside from the host, both the room and the property are extremely dated and poorly maintained. While the mattress was comfortable, the rest of the room was not. There is no proper wardrobe, only a basic coat rail, which is impractical even for a short stay. The windows are very old and poorly insulated, so you can hear everything from the street, especially very early in the morning due to deliveries to nearby bars and restaurants. The bathroom was frankly a farce. It is extremely tiny and showed no sign of proper maintenance. The shower was covered in limescale, difficult to regulate between hot and cold, and the shower head had to be held by hand. The shower tray was quite unpleasant. The sink was blocked and we had to remove the drainage stopper ourselves to make it usable. Overall, the guest house is in serious need of major and basic renovations. Everything feels old, worn and neglected. Would we go back? No.

Geweldige ontvangst, schone kamer, wel erg kleine badkamer, toplocatie: veilig, in de baai van Napels, alle accommodaties in de buurt: restaurants, bars, supermarkten, apotheken, metro… maar niet in de typische drukte van Napels. Niet de standaard hotel experience maar daarom net erg aangenaam. Je hebt je eigen kamer en gaat en staat waar en wanneer je wil. Aanrader!

J’ai séjourné 10 jours dans la Guest House Well Com Cultura Santa Lucia. L’établissement fait partie d’un projet associatif culturel. Ce fut une agréable surprise ! L’emplacement est idéal, à proximité de la Piazza del Plebiscito, de la via Toledo et du splendide front de mer. Chambre confortable, décor baroque d’époque. Accueil chaleureux du Professeur Maurizio Stella, qui est très réactif et donne de bons conseils pour découvrir la ville. Je recommande l'expérience à tous ceux qui veulent ressentir l’authenticité de Naples hors des sentiers touristiques habituels.
