We had a very peaceful stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, beautiful surroundings outside and the special homemade treats made by our host were delicious. We left well rested. Also, our host was readily available for any questions we had about everything, including nice places to eat in the area. Wonderful time!

If you are looking for a nice place to stay in the country, and yet close to everything, this place fits that bill. We also love that it is very clean and modern, yet lacking in distracting technology. It is the perfect place to go to truly get away from it all.

Lovely, unique property. A shed was converted to a lovely living quarters with plenty of space. Very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was very large with beautiful cabinets and dishes. Well stocked with everything you would need. A fresh loaf of bread and butter was set out with other snacks. We came for the Blueberry festival in Plymouth. Would definitely stay at this place again when we had more time to enjoy the features.

We had a wonderful time here. We stayed here to "unplug" and refresh and it was the perfect place to do so! Comfortable, very clean, with personal touches down to the snacks provided- all made for a stay we will be back for!

Lovely and Comfortable

My husband and I were in town for several family gatherings. We enjoyed the "Retreat" as a place to unwind and prepare for the next. It's very comfortable and the patio-like living room was so pretty! There were yummy goodies for us in the kitchen too! Such a simple, but much appreciated, welcoming gesture. We came prepared for "no electricity" as the description states, but all the necessities were run from batteries or gas. We were over-prepared, LOL! Thank you Joe and Alma! We will definitely keep the "Woodland Retreat" in mind for future visits. :)

Comfy & fun country setting

Wonderful stay! Great location in the country. Fun games in the large living area for the family. Fun off the grid experience for the kids with battery or gas operated everything! We had a great fun & relaxing time!
