We stayed here for my daughter's graduation from Vanderbilt and it was perfect. Walkable, great dining options including Taco Mamma, Pancake Pantry, Biscuit Love, Jeni's, Kroger for cocktail and snacks. Pool was nice and room was very roomy so both parties had lots of privacy. Great kitchen for quick breakfast or walk 2 minutes to a near by Duncan Donut. Lots of extra towels and toiletries very comfy beds. All pluses in my book! Only drawback if I knew to request a room with a balcony facing the pool I would have, next time. Our balcony was sad...but we really weren't around a lot to just sit out there plus it was hot...I read the reviews and was scared but Sonders gets an A!!! Don't think twice, book it...so convenient...

Enjoyable stay!

I love your property! There were some things a little worn, but sleeping conditions were great! Kitchen well equipped and large bathroom, all very clean. A small bench in the bathroom would be helpful. It was a good location for us. Lots of great choices to eat - The Greenery, Double Dog, and of course Jenni’s ice cream. Many shops within walking distance. I could hear action (ambulances and helicopters) for Vanderbilt Hospital, but it wasn’t too disturbing. I would definitely stay there again!

This property is completely contactless and is run more like an air bnb than a hotel. Since this was under the Marriott umbrella I was expecting hotel accomodations. There is no one onsite to help with any issues that you may have. You have to communicate through the app or can call the headquarters but the help they provide is limited because they have never been onsite and don’t know the building. We arrived earlier than originally expected and paid $50 to check in early but the code for the door was not working and since there was no one onsite it was very inconvenient to communicate through the app to get the code fixed. The WiFi was out the weekend we stayed and that meant the nest thermostat that was in our room did not work and it was 80-90 degrees in our room. The parking situation was very confusing because there were no signs in the garage directing you to the P1 and P2 sections where residents are supposed to park. The pictures make it look much nicer than what it is in person. It’s average condition but not lux like the pictures suggest. I don’t usually leave reviews but I was very disappointed with the confusion of where to park and not having AC during August when it’s 90 degrees outside in Nashville.

We had a great stay at Sondor 21. However there were a couple areas that needed improvement. The pool is extremely dirty and needs to be cleaned more frequently. Our wifi was also out the entire time and no compensation was offered. Our unit was clean and spacious however the kitchen was not well stocked (no frying pans etc) The area around is great, tons of amazing food options and shopping close by.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Large, beautiful apartment with a nice pool. However, we were overcharged more than $600 dollars on the Friday of our stay and didn’t get refunded until the Tuesday. I appreciate that we got this resolved but it was very stressful at the time especially when we could only contact through a live chat. However, everything else was great but this was unacceptable in our opinion.

No front desk, hard to get help

The check-in process is complicated. There is no front desk. I called the number but no one answered. At first, my reversation could not be located because my last name was mixed up with the first name. Later, I thought it was fixed but the code was invalid. When I tried to add parking, I could not find this option on the Sonder app. I called the number and it was complicated. Technology is good if and only if it works!

The apartment itself was immaculate and clean, the area around very nice.... but the dishes in the cupboards were all grubby and dirty... we had to wash all the plates and pots and frypans before we could cook dinner.... and the noise from the lift was really bad... it went all night and we were a room away from it. The elevator backs into the hall where the rooms are and was like nothing i had heard before in a hotel! I guess thats why there was a heap of packets of ear plugs under the sink!

Great location but terrible at the same time. Great as it is very close to Vanderbilt and downtown but It is very noisy. The sirens and helicopters (VU hospital) are non stop and the sound proofing very minimal. The lack of front desk can also be frustrating - our door code did not work on the first day and it took 20 minutes before I could get anyone to answer the phone and help us. Not the welcome we were looking for after a long travel day. The room was fine though a little tierd and needed more comfy seating in the living room (one small sofa for a 2 bed apartment does not cut it). The other negative is the pool - it is only 3 feet deep!

Communication was difficult, especially since booked through Expedia. This became an issue when it came to obtaining access codes, as the Sonder website (which was emailed to me for verification) didn't accept either Confirmation code. I also started a chat with Sonder 3 weeks prior to our stay asking about bed arrangements to ensure we had the correct number of beds, and I NEVER heard back from them. This was an issue becasue we got to the property and had to make up the sofabed but didn't know if there was bedding, etc. Other feedback: The toiletries are fine, but the bar soap is not ideal. They should provide body wash. And neither shower has a toiletry ledge, so everything is on the floor (again, not ideal for bar soap). Also, parking was unclear- the website says parking is $20 per day maximum, but when you get there, you have to scan a QR code and it automatically charges the parking rate of $27 per day.
