5 Star Generals Retreat is a charming, elegantly-furnished, 2 bedroom/1 bath guest home that rests behind our family's original property (The Big House) that was built in 1919. Nestled in a private setting with a private driveway and parking, this gorgeous vacation property is a mere 15 minute walk from Main Street Franklin and all of the historic sightseeing, shopping, and dining it has to offer.

There is ample outdoor room to run and enjoy cooking and recreation with the family. Enjoy the view of the historic property via a screened in porch and large outdoor patio off the master bedroom, the latter of which includes a gas grill and grilling utensils for cookouts.

Generals Retreat also offers a fully-stocked kitchen with service for 8, a formal cozy living room with smart TV and a separate dining room surrounded on three sides with plantation shutters, a stackable washer/dryer, and much more.

This guest house was pure PERFECTION! It had all the necessary kitchen items & bathroom items. They were very clear in all instructions and requests, but flexible enough to accommodate the guests' wants (within reason). We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We so enjoyed staying at this property. Very spacious, beautifully decorated with lots of historic charm, big yard for pups! Within walking distance of downtown Franklin, as well as a nice park. Very nice and safe neighborhood, no problem walking day or night. So much to do and explore in the area. Mark and Damon (owners) are the nicest couple, they have a beautiful property and just fun to chat with. Forgot to thank them for the delicious banana bread.., thank you M&D. We hope to visit again:)

Mark and Damon were wonderful host. They made you feel like you were part of their family. The location was easy walking distance to downtown Franklin. The neighborhood was very safe and friendly. The property was great for our girls weekend! We loved coming back to the property after a day out exploring Franklin. The space is perfect for a family or small group and can comfortably accommodate 5 people. The yard and property begged to be enjoyed. Great visit! Beautiful home!

We had such a great time visiting Franklin/Nashville. The home was beautiful! We enjoyed having breakfast every morning, gathering in the living room watching TV and sitting in the sunroom.
